James Chen Eliminated in 18th Place ($57,738)

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
James Chen (US)
James Chen (US)

Picking up the action on the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, James Chen from under the gun got his short stack in and was snapped off by Jonathan Depa from two seats over.

James Chen: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Jonathan Depa: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Chen's bottom two pair had a gutshot to go with it against the top set of Depa. Nothing changed on the {5-Diamonds} turn and {6-Diamonds} river runout to send Chen to the payout desk in 18th place for $57,738.

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On a completed board of {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts}, Chance Kornuth bet 475,000 out of the big blind. James Chen mulled it over for a bit and opted to call.

Kornuth tabled the {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Spades} for jacks full and Chen mucked the {j-Diamonds}.

Shuda Successfully Jams Into Lamb

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Gregory Shuda
Gregory Shuda

Ben Lamb raised to 135,000 in the cutoff and Gregory Shuda called out of the big blind. On the {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and the {10-Clubs} turn, both players elected to check. Shuda then bet the {4-Clubs} river for 200,000 and Lamb raised to 575,000.

Shuda then potted but was in fact all-in for less than the full pot. Lamb asked for an exact count and the push was deemed to be for 1,570,000 in total. There was a smirk on Lamb's face and he then announced the fold, telling his opponent "you can show the bluff now".

Shuda did nothing whatsoever as he just chucked the cards into the muck before collecting the pot.

Mike Krasienko Eliminated in 19th Place ($57,738)

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Mike Krasienko
Mike Krasienko

Sam Stein raised from the cutoff and short stack Mike Krasienko pushed for around 275,000 in the small blind, having just forfeited the big blind and big blind ante. Stein quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Mike Krasienko: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Sam Stein: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Following a board of {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Stein turned a pair and rivered two pair to crack the aces of Krasienko. After being a short stack for a very long time, Krasienko's tournament came to an end in 19th place for $57,738.

Hubbard Doubles Through Mermelstein

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Stephen Hubbard
Stephen Hubbard

Aaron Mermelstein raised it up and then called the all-in of Stephen Hubbard for 400,000 to create the following showdown.

Stephen Hubbard: {q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Spades}
Aaron Mermelstein: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{4-Clubs}

The {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} board gave Hubbard a full house and he joked "you guys win all the skill hands post flop ...".

Philip Wiszowaty Eliminated in 20th Place ($57,738)

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Philip Wiszowaty
Philip Wiszowaty

On the turn with a {a-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} board showing, Chance Kornuth was in the big blind and got the rest of his stack in against Philip Wiszowaty in the cutoff.

Chance Kornuth: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{8-Diamonds}
Philip Wiszowaty: {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Wiszowaty was ahead with Broadway, but the {3-Diamonds} spiked the river to improve Kornuth to the nut flush and give him the double, while Wiszowaty was left with only 120,000.

On the next hand, Wiszowaty got his 120,000 in from the hijack and Jared Bleznick called in the big blind,

Philip Wiszowaty: {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}
Jared Bleznick: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}

The board ran out {k-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Hearts} and Bleznick held the winning hand to eliminate Wiszowaty in 20th place for $57,738.

Updated Counts Table Two

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Daniel Negreanu checked a heads-up turn of {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{8-Spades} while in the small blind. Jonas Kronwitter bet 225,000 on the button and that won the pot. Negreanu then got some chips back with a successful flop bet, as did Aaron Mermelstein one hand later.

Lamb Forces Very Reluctant Fold From Sebag

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Ben Lamb raised from under the gun and Emmanuel Sebag called. As they headed to the {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, Lamb bet 225,000 and was called by Sebag as they headed to the {a-Clubs} turn. Lamb now bet the pot for 625,000 and Sebag used one time bank before calling.

Last but not least, the {9-Spades} fell on the river and Lamb bet 950,000 after using all but the last three seconds of his shot clock. That sent Sebag deep into the tank and he used five of his eight time bank extensions before folding with the words "nice hand bro".
