Biografia

Daniel Negreanu é um jogador de pôquer canadense e embaixador da GGPoker. Seis vezes campeão da World Series of Poker (WSOP), ele ganhou o Evento Principal da WSOP Ásia-Pacífico em 2013.

Negreanu pode ser visto na primeira temporada do GGPoker's Game of Gold, um reality show de pôquer no canal do GGPoker no YouTube.

Ele foi nomeado Jogador do Ano da WSOP em 2004 e 2013 - o único jogador a conseguir o feito duas vezes.

Ele também ganhou dois títulos do World Poker Tour (WPT) e acumulou mais de US$ 46 milhões em ganhos ao longo da vida.

Histórico de Daniel Negreanu

Os pais de Negreanu emigraram da Romênia sete anos antes de ele nascer. Negreanu nasceu em Toronto, em 1974, e começou a jogar quando era adolescente, frequentando salões de bilhar, fazendo apostas em esportes e também jogando cartas.

Com o incentivo de seus pais para que sempre perseguisse seus sonhos, Daniel decidiu que a escola não era a melhor opção para ele. Ele abandonou o ensino médio faltando apenas um crédito para se formar para se concentrar no pôquer.

Em 1999, Negreanu ganhou o evento $7.500 Texas Hold'em Championship no United States Poker Championship em Atlantic City por $210.000

Ele foi nomeado o jogador do ano na WSOP de 2004, depois de levar para casa outro bracelete e ganhar vários outros prêmios.

Negreanu também ganhou seus dois títulos do World Poker Tour em 2004, vencendo o evento Borgata Poker Open $10.000 No Limit Hold'em Final Day em setembro, levando para casa mais de $1,1 milhão e, apenas três meses depois, ele venceu o evento Five-Diamond World Poker Classic $15.000 Championship em Las Vegas, ganhando mais de $1,7 milhão. No início do mesmo ano, Negreanu teve outro grande prêmio ao terminar em segundo lugar no evento PartyPoker.com Million III Limit Hold'em Cruise, $7,000 Limit-Hold'em Championship Final Day, recebendo quase $700.000.

Em 2008, Negreanu adicionou um quarto bracelete WSOP à sua coleção, antes de adicionar dois em 2013 de forma espetacular. Ele ganhou pela primeira vez o Evento Principal da WSOP APAC 2013 por mais de A$ 1 milhão e, em seguida, no mesmo ano, venceu o High Roller de € 25.600 da WSOP Europe, conquistando seu sexto bracelete.
