Day 2 of the PokerStars Championship Bahamas $25,750 High Roller is about to kick off in a couple of hours time on this second-last day of the first major festival in 2017.
The last of many high rollers this series kicked off yesterday with a $25,750 buy-in and the option of a single re-entry. A total of 151 entries were logged at the end of the day, with 115 unique players and 36 re-entries. Registration will close at the start of play today on Day 2.
With 290,600 chips, Nick Petrangelo leads the field of 75 remaining players. Close behind him is Sam Greenwood (276,800), Byron Kaverman (272,000), Oleksii Koroshenin (264,000), and Sergio Aido (250,700).
Play begins at Noon sharp, returning to blinds at 1,000/2,000 with a 300 ante at the start of Level 11. Players will plow through another ten, hour-long levels with a 20-minute break every two levels. There will be a 75-minute dinner break after the eighth level.

Mike McDonald got his last 40,000 or so in before the flop with up against the of Anthony Zinno. With the board coming , Zinno made a straight and send McDonald packing.
Over on another table, Ben Heath got it in with up against the of Christoph Vogelsang. The board came and Heath hit the rail while Vogelsang started stacking.

Michael Rocco opened in the cutoff to 4,500 and Rocco Palumbo made it 12,000 to go next to act. Richard Seymour paused in the small blind for a minute and then cut out 37,000 for a cold four-bet. Rocco asked to see his stack and then folded, and Palumbo followed suit.

Registration into the High Roller closed at the start of Day 2, and among those entries was Jason Wheeler. Unfortunately for him, the day was short.
We walked by Wheeler's table and he was all in with against Nick Petrangelo's . The board read and Wheeler couldn't catch up to the commanding chip leader.

After a Bertrand Grospellier open to 4,200 in middle position and an Adrian Mateos three-bet to 10,800 in the cutoff, online whiz Fabrizio Gonzalez made it 26,600 to go on the button. Grospellier folded, as did Mateos after some thought. The latter smiled and asked to see one. Gonzalez obliged and turned over the after mixing his cards around.
