Panka Busts to Vieira

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Dominik Panka
Dominik Panka

One of Poland's finest, former PCA winner Dominik Panka, has just been knocked out by one of Portugal's best, Joao Vieira. The action started with Panka, who put in a raise to 2,500 from middle position after which the player in the cutoff called.

From the big blind, Vieira three-bet to 11,000 and Panka moved all in for 50,400. The player in the cutoff folded right away, and after Vieira had the amount confirmed, he made the call.

Vieira: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}
Panka: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

The board ran out {Q-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{A-Hearts} and Panka was knocked out early on Day 2.

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

A preflop raising war saw Alexandru Waleed Gavrilut get his stack of 50,600 all in against Benjamin Pollak.

Pollak: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}
Gavrilut : {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}

Pollak, who had called Gavrilut 's shove, seemed annoyed by the cooler, and he paid the price after the board ran out {q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Staszko Bad Beated Out of the Tournament

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Martin Staszko - eliminated
Martin Staszko - eliminated

Dutchman Abdelhakim Zoufri opened before the flop and his country man David Boyaciyan made the call in position. Martin Staszko, who finished runner up in the Eureka Main Event for €172,600 earlier this week, squeezed from the small blind. Zoufri isolated and Boyaciyan, who made back to back final tables here a couple of years ago, opted to fold. Staszko pushed all in for a bit more and Zoufri made the call.

Abdelhakim Zoufri: {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Martin Staszko: {K-Clubs}{K-Spades}

The flop came a devastating {8-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for Staszko. The {9-Spades} on the turn gave him some outs for a chop but the {9-Hearts} on the river wasn't one of the cards he was looking for. Staszko, runner up in the WSOP 2011 Main Event for $5,433,086, hit the rail early on Day 2.

Selbst Drops One in Last Hand of Level 9

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

In the last hand of Level 9, Ariel Mantel raised to 2,000 from the hijack only to have Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst three-bet to 5,200 from the small blind. Mantel made the call and then both players checked it down as the board ran out {9-Spades}{k-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{q-Hearts}.

Selbst tabled the {a-Clubs}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines, but it was no good as Mantel had rivered a pair of queens.

Selbst is down a bit from where she started Day 2, while Mantel has already doubled his stack.

Marc Convey has got himself some TV time after the cameras caught his big hand with Adrien Allain. Convey had doubled his 19,500 starting stack, but is now back to where he started thanks to his {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds} unable to hold against his French opponent's {A-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds} when the board ran {6-Hearts}{2-Spades}{a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

O'Kearney Approaching 100K

Nível 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Dara O'Kearney
Dara O'Kearney

Columbia's Mayu Roca raised to 1,800 from early position, Jose Ponce Diaz called from the next seat along and Dara O'Kearney came along for the ride from the big blind.

All three players checked the {6-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} flop, with O'Kearney checking the {A-Clubs} turn. Roca bet 3,800 and both of his opponents called. The river was the {K-Diamonds} and now O'Kearney led for 4,500. Roca paused for 20 seconds or so before raising to 13,000, which folded out Diaz. O'Kearney put both hands on his head as if trying to do some sort of Jedi mind trick, before moving all-in, covering Diaz's 33,100 stack.

Diaz went into the tank for more than two minutes before folding and showing {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}. O'Kearney showed the {A-Diamonds} and added the sizeable pot to his stack.

Chartier Picks Up Right Where He Left Off

Nível 9 : 400/800, 100 ante
Samuel Chartier
Samuel Chartier

Sam Chartier began the day as the chip leader after a hot performance on Day 1b, and he's picked up right where he left off — winning pots!

We picked up the action with 33,000 or so already in the middle and a board reading {5-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Gerald Karlic checked from the small blind and then called when Chartier bet 21,000 from the big. When the {6-Diamonds} river put four diamonds on the board, Karlic checked and Chartier gave it some thought before doing the same.

Karlic tabled the {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for a flush, but it was no good as Chartier held a bigger one with his {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}.
