2015 PokerStars EPT Season 12 Prague
Niklas Astedt, the man entered here on Day 2 and was responsible for the elimination of Stephen Chidwick, just met his demise.
It happened when reigning European Media Person of the Year Marc Convey opened for 2,000 from early position and the player in the hijack called. Sebastian Pauli then three-bet to 6,500 from the cutoff, and Astedt four-bet it to 15,300 from the small blind. Convey and the limper got out of the way, and Pauli opted to five-bet all in, which prompted Astedt to call off for what looked to be over 50,000.
Pauli:
Astedt:
It was a flip, but not after the flop came down to give Astedt the lead with kings. The turn meant Pauli needed one of the two remaining queens on the river to score the knockout, which is just what he did when the spiked!

Grieco flipped over for a pair of sevens with a flush draw, with moneymaker turning over for top pair. The turn was followed by the river, both cards missing Grieco and Moneymaker is now back in business as a result.

Stephen Chidwick, who finished third in this event two years ago, was just eliminated from the tournament at the hands of Niklas Astedt, one of the players to register just before the start of Day 2.
It happened when Chidwick raised to 1,800 from middle position and action folded to Astedt, who defended the big blind. A flop saw Astedt check-call a bet of 3,000, and then he checked for a second time on a turn.
Chidwick bet 6,500, Astedt check-raised all in, and Chidwick called off his remaining chips with pocket queens. Unfortunately for him, Astedt had flopped a set of sevens. The river was a blank, and just like that Chidwick disappeared from the tournament.

We saw Faraz Jaka get up from his table, and we made our way over just in time to discover he'd been eliminated.
We're not sure when the chips went in — it's safe to assume it was either preflop or on the flop — by we caught the cards.
