The second day in Event #52: $2,500 Mixed Triple Draw Lowball will see a total of 145 players return in the quest to become the newest WSOP bracelet winner. Only 53 of these players will survive to make a minimum of $4,069, with all eyes set on the elusive WSOP bracelet and the first place prize of $181,978.
Rounding out the podium of the chip counts is a trio of bracelet winners in the forms of Marco Johnson (228,500), Nacho Barbero (216,500), and Maxx Coleman (210,500). Each one of these pros has proven themselves beyond any doubt that they are among the best players in their respective fields. Coleman holds the only bracelet in a draw variant, but all three have shown their mixed game chops on some of the biggest stages in poker and each one of them is hungry for their next big tournament win.

This sizeable Day 2 field is filled with plenty of recognizable names including Jake Schwartz (175,500), Brian Yoon (157,000), David Funkhouser (121,000), Patrick Leonard (115,000), Ray Henson (102,000), Adam Friedman (96,000), Maria Ho (82,500), and WSOP Main Event Champion Koray Aldemir (81,000). This tournament drew the highest level of competition and that continues into Day 2.
Players will begin play in Horseshoe today at 1 p.m. local time with blinds at 1,500-2,500 and limits at 2,500-5,000 in the 11th level of the tournament. Levels will last an hour each with a 15-minute break occurring after every two levels. Players will continue play for ten levels before ending for the day.

Jason Pedigo opened on the button and then called after Shawn Buchanan three-bet out of the big blind.
Both players stood pat on the first draw with Buchanan then check-raising a bet from Pedigo, who made the call.
The second draw saw neither player take any cards after which Buchanan bet again. This time Pedigo, after some thought, released his holding to take a hit to his stack early in the day.

Maria Ho raised on the button and in the big blind AJ Kelsall defended.
On the first draw Kelsall drew one while Ho drew two which saw Kelsall bet and Ho call.
On the second draw Kelsall drew one more while Ho drew two once more and the same betting action repeated.
The third draw saw Kelsall take one and Ho only take one.
The final round of betting saw Kelsall bet and Ho raised, which Kelsall called. Ho turned over 7♠5♥4♣3♦ for a seven badugi and Kelsall mucked his hand, ceding the pot to Ho.

A-5 Triple Draw
Action was picked up in a pot between Michael Trivett on the button and Matt Vengrin in the small blind with 12,500 in the middle.
Vengrin checked over to Trivett who bet and Vengrin raised which saw Trivett raise again and Vengrin called. Vengrin drew one and Trivett stood pat on the final draw.
Vengrin bet on the final round of betting which saw Trivett call and Vengrin turned over 6x4x3x2xAx for number two. Trivett shook his head as he flashed 6x5x4x3x2x and Vengrin took a sizable chunk off of Trivett in a six versus six confrontation.

A-5 Triple Draw
AJ Kelsall opened from middle position before Gregory Jamison three-bet out of the small blind. Kelsall made the call to send action heads-up to the first draw.
On the first draw Jamison took one to Kelsall's two after which he led out and received a call.
Jamison stood pat on the second draw while Kelsall opted to take one after which Jamison bet again, once more getting called.
The same drawing pattern was repeated on the final draw. Jamison then checked with Kelsall, commenting "you win," checking back to concede the pot to Jamison, who held 8x6x5x4x2x.
