Mermelstein Changes Plans

John Racener opened from under the gun and was called by Aaron Mermelstein in the big blind.

The first draw saw Mermelstein take two cards while Racener opted for one. Mermelstein then check-called a bet from his opponent.

On the second draw both Mermelstein and Racener took the same number of cards as before with Mermelstein then checking for a second time. Racener bet, getting a fold from Mermelstein who said he "was gonna bluff on the end" but appeared to have a change of heart.

Robert Williamson III raised in the cutoff and the big blind called.

On the first draw, the big blind drew two and Williamson drew one after which the big blind check-called a bet from Williamson.

The second draw saw the big blind draw one and Williamson stood pat, which saw the same betting action repeat.

On the third draw, the big blind drew one while Williamson stood pat and the big blind said "you're good," while flashing 6x4x3xAx and mucking his hand to the WSOP bracelet winner.

David Funkhouser opened on the button and was called by both Richard Bai in the small blind and James Davidson in the big blind.

Both Bai and Funkhouser took two on the first draw while Davidson opted for three. Action then checked to Funkhouser who bet, getting a call from Bai but a fold from Davidson.

The second draw saw Bai again take two with Funkhouser drawing one. Bai then check-called a bet from his opponent.

On the final draw Bai stood pat as Funkhouser chose to take one more card. Both players then checked with Bai tabling 8x5x4x2xAx to take the pot off of Funkhouser.

Strelitz took two to Thorpe's one on the first draw before check-calling a bet from his opponent.

Both players took one card on the second draw after which Strelitz checked once again. Thorpe bet and that was enough to get Strelitz to relinquish his holding and keep Thorpe chipping up.

On the final draw, Chait checked after standing pat and the button checked back after drawing one. Chait turned over 8♠7♥6♦2♣ for an eight-dugi and the button mucked, giving the pot to Chait.

Wang Doubles Through Kell

Kell stood pat and Wang drew one. Kell bet after the draw and Wang raised which Kell called.

Both players stood pat on the following two draws and no betting occurred on the second round. On the third round Kell checked to Wang who moved all in and Kell called.

Wang turned over 7♣5♥3♠2♦ for a seven and it was good for the pot as Kell mucked his hand, giving the pot to Wang.

At another table, Robert Williamson III was eliminated from the tournament.

Rheem Gets Folds

Chino Rheem opened on the button and was called by Michael Rodrigues in the small blind as well as Fabrizio Gonzalezcataldi in the big blind.

All three players took two cards on the first draw after which Rodrigues led out, receiving two calls.

Both Rodrigues and Rheem took one on the second draw while Gonzalezcataldi chose to draw two. Action then checked through to the final draw where the same drawing pattern was repeated. Rodrigues and Gonzalezcataldi checked, prompting Rheem to toss out a bet. That was met by two folds to send the pot to Rheem, which saw him eclipse the 200,000 mark.
