Welcome to Day 2 of Event #57: $10,000 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw Championship at the 2021 World Series of Poker. Cards go in the air at 2 p.m. for this prestigious mixed game event that attracted 80 runners to Day 1 and more are expected before the end of registration at the beginning of today’s action.

Danny Wong is the chip leader and he returns in search of his first WSOP gold bracelet. Hot on his heels are several notable poker pros, including Michael Trivett and Shaun Deeb. Trivett has cashed six times at the 2021 WSOP and he is looking for his first bracelet to go with his WSOP Circuit ring. Deeb is in the mix after he jumped in the tournament immediately after winning his fifth bracelet in the $25,000 Pot-Limit Omaha High Roller.

Other players returning for Day 2 with more than 200,000 chips include Oscar Johansson, Kevin Gerhart, Matt Valeo, Brian Yoon, Nathan Gamble, Aditya Prasetyo, and Michael Noori.

Kessler Drags Huge Pot

Nível 11
Allen Kessler
Allen Kessler

A huge pot recently developed four ways with Allen Kessler the ultimate beneficiary.

Action was picked up late, but according to tablemate Nathan Gamble who observed the crazy pot, four bets each went in predraw between Kessler, Walter Chambers, Andrew Kelsall and Anthony Zinno.

More bets went in on the first round, and on the second round, the action saw Kessler lead from the big blind, Chambers fold with just 12,000 chips left, Kelsall raise in middle position, Zinno fold and Kessler call.

Heads-up at the end, both Kessler and Kelsall patted their hands and Kessler checked. Kelsall checked behind dodging what would have been a check-raise, as Kessler rolled over a wheel to drag the huge pot.

Shortly after, Chambers' last 12,000 chips ended up in the middle and didn't come back, as he's been eliminated from the tournament.

The table erupted and Eveslage put his face in his hands.

"I need to get that on video," Jake Schwartz said to Thorpe from the next seat over. "Next time you do that I need a warning."

A few moments later, Phil Hellmuth stepped over from a nearby table to weigh in.

"Could you be any louder, Mike?"

Gamble Finally Gets Negreanu

Nível 12
Nathan Gamble
Nathan Gamble

Action was folded to Nathan Gamble in the small blind who raised into Daniel Negreanu's big blind. Negreanu only had 11,000 left and opted to raise 1,000 more and put himself all-in. Gamble of course called and the drawing began.

Each drew three, then two, then on the final draw, Gamble patted, and Negreanu still needed to draw one.

Gamble showed {9-}{5-}{4-}{3-}{2-}, while Negreanu showed {7-}{6-}{5-}{2-}.

Negreanu squeezed a two-across, but unfortunately for him it was another {5-}, ending his time in this tournament.
