Holz's Comeback Fails

Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Blinds: 1,200/2,400

Down under 10 bigs, Fedor Holz managed one double and Ajay Chabra with {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} against {q-}{9-}. He almost had another when he got in an outkicked top pair and turned a straight, only to be counterfeited on the river.

Finally, Holz raised to 5,040 and called all in for about 41K with {a-Spades}{7-Hearts} but was pipped by {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. The board ran {j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}, shipping it to Chabra's two pair.

Negreanu One Step Closer

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Blinds: 1,600/3,200

Daniel Negreanu min-raised and Alex Difelice defended. Difelice checked the {8-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop and Negreanu bet 3,200. Difelice made it 11,200 and Negreanu peeled for a {j-Diamonds} turn. Difelice bet 26,400 and Negreanu continued to the {10-Hearts} river. Difelice tank-shoved for 124K.

Negreanu took some thinking time as well then called with {9-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for a straight. It was good as Difelice was bluffing with {9-Hearts}{6-Clubs}.

"ElkY" Joins Negreanu

Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier
Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier

Blinds: 2,000/4,000

It's been a good run for GGPoker Ambassadors and that continued as Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier advanced. He already had a good-sized lead over Mateusz Rypulak when the latter shoved his last 15 blinds with {a-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

ElkY woke up with a dominating {a-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and looked good on the {2-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop. Unfortunately for the popular pro, a {4-Clubs} turned. No sweat, as an {8-Clubs} river gave him better aces up.

First Two-Fer Achieved by Alek Stasiak

Alek "astazz" Stasiak has done it again! After winning Event #33: $1,111 Every 1 for Covid Relief [Caesars Cares] almost two weeks ago, he has now taken down Event #52: $1,000 NLHE for a whopping $273,505, his second WSOP bracelet, and a WSOP Europe Package. He defeated Kunal "Alex_52" Bhatia heads-up in a field which attracted 2,006 entries to create a prize pool of $1,095,700.

Stasiak scored his first six-figure tournament cash when he won Event #33 for $343,203 and gets to add this one to it to get him to over the $600,000-mark in earnings for just the 2020 WSOP here on GGPoker. The Canadian who lives in Quebec is the first player in WSOP history to win two online bracelets which is a feat that is hard to achieve in these big fields. Stasiak's story becomes even more incredible as he spun a $10 satellite up for his first bracelet win, which he told PokerNews.
