Day 1B of the Caribbean Poker Party $5,300 MILLIONS Main Event has concluded, with a grand total of 436 entrants taking part, 275 of whom made it through all eight 60-minute levels. Russia's Gleb Tremzin leads the way, bagging up a massive 7,353,000 to take through to Day 2, starting tomorrow at midday local time.

Brazil's Pedro Cavalieri finished in second place by a hair, taking through an equally impressive 7,125,000. Other players hot on their heels are Daniel Dvoress (4,889,000), Stephen Chidwick (4,824,000), partypoker sponsored pro Richard Dubini (4,660,000), and Omid Shahbazian (4,635,000).

Other big names advancing to Day 2 include EPT Main Event champion Tom Middleton (4,374,000), partypoker MILLION North America High Roller finalist Roberto Romanello (2,800,000), August DTD1000 winner Tim Chung (2,144,000) and partypoker Ambassador Joao Simao (2,040,000).

Not all of the fan favourites managed to survive the day, though, and partypoker sponsored pro Natalia Breviglieri is among those that fell agonisingly short. Fortunately for her, late registration and re-entry for this event is available until the end of level 12, four levels into Day 2, at 17:30 local time.

Felipe Falls Short

After the pot was opened with a middle position raise to 30,000, Felipe Ramos put in a three-bet to 80,000 on the button, before David von Schnehen made the four-bet from the small blind to 255,000. The original raiser quickly folded, with Ramos making another raise, five-betting to 480,000.

After a short dwell, Von Schnehen made the call and they went heads-up to a {3-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop. Von Schnehen checked the flop and quickly called Ramos' 255,000 continuation bet. The {k-Diamonds} landed on the turn and both players checked.

Von Schnehen checked a third time on the {j-Clubs} river. Ramos went into the tank for what seemed like an eternity, counting out his stack several times, before finally sighing, taking off his headphones, and checking the river back. Von Schnehen immediately whipped over {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} for the full house, Ramos showed {a-Hearts}{a-Spades} before mucking.
