Seat 1: Timothy Adams, 30, Canada, 8,045,000

Timothy Adams
Timothy Adams

Timothy Adams is a Canadian professional poker player hailing from Burlington, Ontario who holds over $3.4 million in live tournament winnings to his name. Adams is also known for his online play under the name "Tim0thee".

Adams' live tournament results date back as far as 2007, but he first found true glory during the summer of 2012 at the World Series of Poker. During that summer, Adams scored an impressive five cashes, one of which happened to be a victory and his first WSOP bracelet in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold'em Four-Handed event for a $392,000 first prize.

His largest cash to date though was at the EPT9 PokerStars and Monte-Carlo® Casino Grand Final. Adams scored a fourth-place finish in the €100,000 Super High Roller which netted him €485,100 in prize money.

Adams made the final table in the EPT10 Barcelona €50,000 Super High Roller but left empty handed in eighth place as he was that tournament’s bubble boy. He redeemed himself just a few months later however, finishing sixth in the EPT10 London Super High Roller for £175,200.

He starts today’s unofficial final table of nine as chip leader with 8,045,000.

Seat 2: Alexandros Kolonias, 30, Greece, 1,385,000

Alexandros Kolonias
Alexandros Kolonias

Alexandros Kolonias is fourth on Greece’s all time money list for live tournament winnings with a string of results totaling $1.2 million. His best live cash came in May when he was runner-up to Romania’s Alex Papazian in the EPT Grand Final €25K High Roller for €805,900. Fresh from that big score, he then went on to win big online less than a week later. Playing as “Mexican222” on PokerStars, he took down Event 9-H of the 2016 SCOOP 2016 tonight for $66,140. He already had one SCOOP title - a win in a $530+R event back in 2014 for $144,400. According to PocketFives, his online cashes amount to more than $1.4 million with his biggest online result coming during WCOOP 2015 when he was third in the event 25, the $10k Optional Re-Entry High-Roller for $365,500 – the largest cash a Greek player had ever won online.

Seat 3: Erik Seidel, 56, Las Vegas, USA, 850,000

Erik Seidel
Erik Seidel

It’s little wonder that Erik Seidel is ranked the winningest American player of all time: he already has close to $30 million in live tournament cashes and eight WSOP bracelets. These include the € 2,015,000 he won at the EPT11 Grand Final when he took down the €100k Super High Roller, beating Polish wunderkind Dzmity Urbanovich heads-up. That was the third biggest cash of his life but he has another two of over $2 million, and a further 10 of more $500k.

Born in New York City in 1959, Seidel always had a gifted mind for games of all kinds. He took up backgammon while in college and soon dropped out to pursue a professional career playing the game. New York’s famous Mayfair Club was like a second home to Seidel. There he was able to hone his skills against some of the best players around.

Seidel traveled around playing backgammon tournaments for about eight years before making some forays into the stock market. With more and more people indulging in poker at the Mayfair Club, Seidel decided to give it a shot. Poker wasn’t his only source of income though, as Seidel took up a regular job as a stockbroker with much more of a secure income. The security of a regular paycheck went out the window though in 1987 when the stock market crashed and Seidel lost his job. Luckily, he still had poker.

Seidel was soon one of the top players at the Mayfair Club and decided to take a shot in Vegas at the 1988 World Series where he ended up placing second in the Main Event to the world renowned Johnny Chan - the final hand was featured in the movie Rounders. He won his first WSOP bracelet in 1992 and made the Main Event final again in 1999, finishing in 4th place. He shows no signs of letting up either. At last season’s EPT Grand Final, he left Monaco with more than €150k, his cashes including runner-up in the €10k NL Turbo, and headed back home to Vegas for yet another highly profitable summer. His cashes there included third in the SHR Bowl in Vegas for over $2 million and runner-up in the Aria High Roller for $264,000. Seidel was inducted in to the Poker Hall of Fame in 2010.

Seat 4: Sam "Str8$$$Homey" Greenwood, 27, Toronto, Canada Canada, 1,050,000

Sam Greenwood
Sam Greenwood

Sam Greenwood is one of Canada’s best-known live players and – along with brother Max – is a regular competitor on the European Poker Tour. Greenwood has well over $3.2m in live tournament winnings, his biggest cash coming last December when he was runner-up to Steve O’Dwyer in the EPT12 Prague Super High Roller for €583,500. His next two biggest cashes have also come at EPTs: sixth in the PCA $100k SHR for nearly $400,000 and seventh at the EPT12 Grand Final Super High Roller in May this year for € 301,820. He won his first WSOP bracelet in the 2015 $1k NL event for $318,977 and was also fifth in Aussie Millions Challenge event for $ 225,030. Greenwood also has stunning online credentials with multiple €100k+ career cashes including two SCOOP victories and a WCOOP win too.

Seat 5: Julian Stuer, 26, Germany, 2,360,000

Julian Stuer
Julian Stuer

Julian Stuer already has more than $600k in live tournament winnings but that still makes him one of the lower-earning players for this Super High Roller final. The € 137,130 he’s already guaranteed will be his biggest cash to date; his previous best result was in Monaco at the EPT Grand Final when he finished 14th in the 25K High Roller for €83,760. He is currently ranked 84th on Germany’s all time money list but a win today could zoom him up to around 20th place. He’s prolific online and has a WCOOP final table appearance under his belt worth more than $70k.

Seat 6: Daniel Dvoress, 27, Canada, 1,050,000

Daniel Dvoress
Daniel Dvoress

Like fellow finalist Sam Greenwood, Daniel Dvoress also hails from Toronto but is ranked slightly lower then his fellow Canadian in the country’s all time money list: he is #55 to Greenwood’s #19. Dvoress’s live tournament winnings total more than $1.5 million, a sum including his his seventh place in the PCA 2016 Super High Roller for $286,920 and sixth place in the $50k High Roller a few days later for $235,600. One of his most successful runs was during the EPT’s debut stop in Malta in March last year where he cashed five times for a combined €330k, including a monster €263,000 for third place in the €25k High Roller. Dvoress is also a poker coach and, playing as “Oxota”, has sizeable online results to his name, including winning the SCOOP $2k NLH event for $317,911. Dvoress has had a glittering career in online tournaments and cash games, including victory in a $2,100 SCOOP Hold'em event in May 2015 for more than $300,000. He has also been sharing his wisdom alongside the likes of Phil Galfond and Jason Koon with subscribers of a training site. He took up poker while at school, joining a lunchtime game in the school cafeteria, then resumed playing to pay off student loans while studying psychology at university.

Seat 7: Ahadpur Khangah, 63, Azerbaijan, 3,670,000

Ahadpur Khangah
Ahadpur Khangah

Businessman Ahadpur Khangah is certainly in line for the best live poker result of his career, having no recorded results at all yet on the Hendon Mob player database. This also appears to be Khangah’s first appearance at an EPT so he must be delighted with the way things are going. The Azeri polo enthusiast, who has numerous companies all over the world, was born in Tehran and graduated from Newcastle University in the UK after specialising in highway and traffic engineering. From 1975 until 1986, he worked in Iran building highways, as well as on other construction projects. He has lived in Azerbaijan since 1993 and his current business interests include food, plastics, wood, and construction. Khangah re-entered at the start of Day 2 and goes in to the final day today third in chips.

Seat 8: Sylvain Loosli, 29, France, 2,120,000

Sylvain Loosli
Sylvain Loosli

French pro Sylvain Loosli will be hoping for back to back victories today as he won this event last season for €1,224,000. The former WSOP November Niner is currently ranked fourth on France’s all-time money list and his best live result to date remains the $2,792,533 he won after finishing fourth in the WSOP Main Event in 2013. He already has more than $5.4 million in live tournament winnings. Loosli, who hails from Toulon, has been a successful cash game player since 2006 and still claims tournaments are not his specialty. Loosli took up poker ten years ago after joining a Texas Hold'em club set up by a friend in his Parisian business school. He then started playing online and swiftly built up a sizeable bankroll from his initial deposit of 50 euros.

Seat 9: Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz, 23, Germany, 4,970,000

Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Fourth in chips for today’s unofficial final table is Julian Stuer's fellow countryman Fedor Holz, whose incredible summer run just doesn't stop. In the last six months he has won almost $11 million. After his outstanding streak of high roller results in Las Vegas, the 23-year-old arrived in Spain and continues to crush on the European soil as well. The German superstar and current Global Poker Index world #1 had to fire a re-entry bullet for the Super High Roller but things went his way on Day 1 when Holz picked off Niall Farrell's huge river bluff to navigate to a 1,150,000-chip stack.

Two years ago, Holz's poker career got a huge boost when he won the PokerStars WCOOP Main Event for $1,300,000. He was soon to be recognised as one of the most successful players in the world. After becoming the WCOOP World Champion, he then made the transition to the highest buy-in live events. He's amassed about $18 million in live earnings since then and is now leading the stacked German all-time money list (he's currently ninth worldwide). Holz has been on an incredible heater this summer earning more than $10 million in the last three months. After taking down the $111k One Drop High Roller for his first WSOP bracelet, he announced he was retiring from playing full time but will continue traveling to compete at the biggest festivals around the world - including EPT13 Barcelona, where he's aiming to seize his first EPT Super High Roller title.
