The third and final day of the PokerStars.es European Poker Tour Season 13 €50,000 Super High Roller saw nine hopefuls out of a 102-entry strong field return to the feature table. It took less than five hours for German wunderkind Fedor Holz to lift the trophy and claim yet another victory.

Two-time EPT Barcelona Super High Roller finalist Erik Seidel was the shortest stack coming into the day and joined the rail in hand number 5. A crazy four-way all in saw Seidel all in with pocket nines, Sam Greenwood all in with pocket kings, Julian Stuer all in with pocket tens and Ahadpur Khangah putting them all at rish with ace-five suited. The board ran out queen-high and Greenwood won the main pot while Stuer won the side pot. Erik Seidel busted in 9th place (€137,130), Khangah was knocked back to the role of short stack.

Julian Stuer took another hit soon after and then called all in out of the big blind with queen-deuce when facing the shove of Greenwood who held king-eight suited. A queen came on the flop but Greenwood picked up a flush draw on the turn and improved thanks to a king on the river. Stuer made his exit in 8th place for €181,200.

Daniel Dvoress followed next. In a battle of the Canadians, Dvoress three-bet all in with pocket eights and initial raiser Greenwood looked him up with pocket tens to hold up on a dry queen-high board. Dvoress had to settle for 7th place, good for €232,600.

Defending EPT Barcelona Super High Roller champion and former November Niner, Sylvain Loosli, was eliminated in 6th place (€293,800). He three-bet all in out of the big blind with pocket eights. Holz, who had raised under the gun, quickly called with ace-king and won the flip after an ace appeared on the flop.

Business man Ahadpur Khangah, who beat plenty of top pros to reach the final table, bowed out in 5th place (€377,100). He was in the big blind with king-jack suited and called all in after a shove of small blind Greenwood, who held ace-seven. A jack on the flop gave hope for a comeback story, but an ace followed right away on the turn and the river blanked.

Down to the last four, Alexandros Kolonias, who finished 2nd in the EPT12 Grand Final €25,000 High Roller, was the shortest stack. He got it in good with a three-bet shove holding pocket kings, but Holz's run good with pocket nines saw a nine appear on the flop and that was it for Kolonias (4th, €467,700).

Timothy Adams was the chip leader going into the final table, and quickly lost a lot of chips with three players remaining. Adams then three-bet all in with pocket deuces and Greenwood called with ace-king suited. Greenwood spiked a king on the flop to send Adams home in 3rd place (€597,500).

Heads-up play for the trophy and first-place payout of €1,300,300 started almost even in chips and and no deal. However, Holz quickly established a big lead and pulled away further. It was all over in hand number 75 of the day when Greenwood shoved his short stack in with five-six suited and Holz snap-called with ace-king. A king-high flop left Greenwood drawing to a gutshot. He turned an open-ended straight draw but didn't complete it with a blank on the river. Greenwood departed in 2nd place for €903,600.

Within the last six months, Fedor "CrownUpGuy" Holz has now accumulated more than $12 million in tournament cashes and added another win to his already impressive poker resume. For a player that claimed retirement not too long ago, this trip to Barcelona has gone exceptionally well so far.

Sarah was table side right after his victory.

Sam Greenwood

Hand #73: Sam Greenwood looked down at {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and announced that he was all in for around 3,125,000. Fedor Holz called emphatically with {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, giving Holz top pair, but handing a gut shot to Greenwood. The turn was the {4-Clubs} giving Greenwood an additional four outs as he was now open-ended.

However, the {q-Diamonds} was not one of them, and Greenwood was eliminated in 2nd place (€903,600). Holz wins yet another tournament to further cement his status of poker wunderkind and a recap of today's action will be available shortly.

Hand #57: On the button, Greenwood raised to 400,000 with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. Fedor Holz folded his small blind but big blind Timothy Adams shoved all in for 5,315,000 holding {2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

Greenwood called instantly.

The flop came {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Greenwood propelled from a 49 percent chance to a 91 percent chance to win the hand.

The {Q-Spades} on the turn didn't do anything and neither did the {10-Spades} on the river.

Timothy Adams, who started the final table as chip leader, made his exit in 3rd place.

Hand #47: Adams opened under the gun for 300,000 with {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Alexandros Kolonias on the button woke up with {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} and moved all in for 2,175,000.

Fedor Holz in the big blind seemed interested as he had {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and asked for a count. He eventually over shoved and Adams was quick to lay his hand down.

Kolonias was in perfect position to get right back in it, but the window card was the {9-Spades}, followed by the {A-Clubs} and {8-Diamonds}.

The {4-Diamonds} on the turn and {4-Hearts} river were blanks and that did it for Alexandros Kolonias.

Down to 3 players and the question was asked if there was any interest in a deal. Holz quickly turned down the offer to look at the numbers.

Hand #35: Action folded to Sam Greenwood in the small blind and he shoved all in with {A-Spades}{7-Hearts}. Big blind Ahadpur Khangah made the call for 1,120,000 total with {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and Khagah jumped into the lead.

The {A-Hearts} on the turn meant a switch around of equity. The river {8-Clubs} was a blank and Ahadpur Khangah made his exit in 5th place.

Hand #30: Fedor Holz raised to 225,000 from under the gun. Action folded around all the way to Sylvain Loosli and the defending champion of this very event moved all in from the big blind for 20 big blinds. Holz quickly called and they were off to the races.

Loosli: {8-Spades}{8-Hearts}
Holz: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

"Deja vu! Maybe this year," Holz said to table neighbor Loosli and then asked the Frenchman if he had a good feeling about the hand. Loosli nodded and Hold added "I have a good feeling, too."

The {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop paired the ace, and the {7-Spades} turn and {10-Hearts} river were blanks to eliminate Loosli in 6th place for a payday of €293,800.

Hand #27: Greenwood was right back in action making it 250,000 holding {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} in first position.

Daniel Dvoress, seated right behind him, found {8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and pushed all in for 1,640,000. Action folded back to Greenwood and he called instantly.

Dvoress was at risk with the eights and wouldn't improve. The board ran out {9-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Dvoress shook hands with the remaining 6 players to make his exit in 7th place. Sam Greenwood now in the lead.

Hand #21: Sam Greenwood open-shoved from the small blind and Julian Stuer called all in for 535,000.

Stuer: {Q-Spades}{2-Clubs}
Greenwood: {K-Spades}{8-Spades}

The flop came {A-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades} and Greenwood said in table chat "spade or an eight," asking for a sweat. Sure enough the {6-Spades} appeared on the turn to give him additional outs.

Greenwood added, to the dealer, "you can give it to him face down if you want," before the {K-Diamonds} fell on the river to eliminate Stuer.

The German, who was chip leader going into Day 2, finished in eighth place for a payday of €181,200.

Erik Seidel Eliminated in 9th Place (€137,700)

Nível 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #5: Ahadpur Khangah limped in from early position holding {A-Spades}{5-Spades}. Action folded to Erik Seidel on the button and he moved all in for 860,000 with {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}.

That wasn't the end of it by any means, as Sam Greenwood woke up with {K-Spades}{K-Hearts} in the small blind and over pushed for 1.25 million.

Big blind Julian Stuer found {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} in the big blind and he pushed all in as well, moving in for 2.14 million.

Ahadpur Khangah, facing three all-ins, just about snap called to put all three of them at risk!

The flop came {Q-Spades}{4-Hearts}{J-Hearts} and Greenwood still had a strong lead with 67 percent equity. Greenwood commented it was the best flop he could've asked for but soon realized he was jinxing himself.

The {J-Spades} on the turn gave Khangah a flush draw and Greenwood commented: "It's like a PLO hand!"

The {2-Hearts} on the river was a blank and Erik Seidel made his exit. Greenwood moved up to second in chips, Stuer still in it as he won the side pot. Khangah down to 17 big blinds.

Ahadpur Khangah

The 102-entry strong field has been widdled down to 9 players in the €50,000 Super High Roller at the PokerStars.es European Poker Tour Barcelona festival.

Late last night the tournament organization decided to call it quits when the clock struck 3, with still 9 players remaining instead of the desired 8. The tournament is in the money however, with already 4 players having made their departure with cash in hand. Connor Drinan (13th) and Adrian Mateos (12th) both walked away €98,000 richer, John Juanda (11th) and Stanley Choi (10th) returned to their hotel with a cheque worth €105,300.

Timothy Adams leads the final 9, with Fedor Holz in second place. Defending champion Sylvain Loosli is still in contention, as are Julian Stuer, Alexandros Kolonias, Sam Greenwood, Daniel Dvoress and Erik Seidel. The only wild card still in is Azerbaijani businessman Ahadpur Khangah who gathered lots of chips late last night at the unofficial final table.

There's still 30 minutes left on the clock for level 20 (40,000/80,000 with a 10,000 ante). The players return at 1pm local time for the televised final table. The final table will be live streamed with hole cards on an hour delay, so check back at 2pm local time (in 2 hours) for our ongoing coverage of EPT Barcelona's biggest event.
