Kurganov Grabs the Chip Lead!

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Igor Kurganov
Igor Kurganov

Hand #62: Lo completed from the small blind with {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} and Colman in the big blind checked his {6-Spades}{4-Diamonds}. {A-Clubs}{J-Spades}{5-Spades} on the flop and Lo bet out 80,000. Colman, having flopped nothing really, folded after some thinking.

Hand #63: Action folded again to Lo on the button. Lo with {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} raised to 130,000. Kurganov in the big blind with {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs} made the call.

{6-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{K-Hearts} and Kurganov checked. Lo continued for 130,000 and Kurganov made the call. After the dealer burned, the turn came the {6-Hearts} giving Kurganov trips and Lo the flush draw. Kurganov checked again and Lo bet out a hefty 400,000. Kurganov made the call to grow the pot to 1,385,000.

The river was a brick with the {4-Spades} and Kurganov checked for the third time. Lo thought about it for some time. He contemplated his action for a good three minutes, and then bet out 600,000. Kurganov took his time as well. After two minutes he raised all in. Lo didn't make too much show and folded rather quickly.

Kurganov started out as by far the shortest stack with not much more than 10 big blinds, but he's now the chip leader!

Domination Nation Doesn't Matter

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #58: Olivier Busquet opened for 100,000 with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} and Rono Lo three-bet to 245,000 from middle position. Action folded back to Busquet and he figured out what was going on and promptly released his hand.

Hand #59: Daniel Colman raised to 110,000 with the {8-Hearts}{6-Hearts} and Richard Yong called from the big blind with the {j-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The {a-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop saw Yong lead out for 110,000. Colman popped it to 285,000, and it worked as Yong released his hand.

Hand #60: Paul Phua raised to 110,000 from the cutoff with the {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Olivier Busquet decided to three-bet from the big blind with the not-so-glamorous {7-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}. The three-bet worked as Phua folded his hand.

Hand #61: Cates opened with a raise to 100,000 holding the {a-Spades}{8-Spades} only to have Richard Yong three-bet all in for 535,000 with the inferior {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}. Of course Cates didn't know he was good or he'd have called in a heartbeat, but as it was he had to give it some thought before calling the additional 435,000.

"It's domination nation for Richard Yong," Joe Stapleton said on the live stream. Indeed it was, and even more so when the flop fell a dry {4-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}. A moment later, the dealer burned and turned the {6-Diamonds}. Yong was all smiles after getting lucky, and the rest of the table would have to wait for the first elimination as the {10-Spades} blanked on the river.

Limping Lo

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #56: With 42 minutes left in the level it was Rono Lo in the cutoff who limped with {J-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. Daniel Colman on the button with {A-Spades}{J-Spades} isolated to 160,000. Both blinds folded and action was back on Lo. Lo called and they saw a flop with 435,000 in the middle.

{3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} on the flop and Lo checked, Colman checked back. The {9-Hearts} on the turn helped Lo more than Colman having now picked up a gutshot. Lo bet out 180,000, and Colman, with a 84% hand but no way of knowing that, folded.

Hand #57: Lo in the hijack with {8-Clubs}{8-Hearts} limped again. Colman, now with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} in the cutoff, folded. Igor Kurganov over limped with {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} on the button. Schemion completed with {J-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} from the small blind and Phua checked his big blind with {3-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}.

{Q-Spades}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} on the flop and everyone checked. The {6-Spades} on the turn made Schemion check again. Phua bet out 125,000 with his gutshot and Lo made the call with his eights. Kurganov over called with the best hand, Schemion folded.

The {Q-Clubs} on the river gave Kurganov a full house. Phua checked to Lo who checked as well. Kurganov didn't check of course, he bet 375,000 into 615,000. Phua instantly folded, but Lo thought about it. He did fold eventually and Kurganov took it down without a show down.

Action Slowing Down

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #48: Rono Lo opened for 200,000 from the cutoff with the {7-Hearts}{2-Clubs}, and then proudly showed it after the rest of the players folded.

Hand #49: Rono Lo raised to 150,000 from the hijack with the {q-Spades}{6-Spades} and Paul Phua defended from the big blind with the {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. When the flop came down {5-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}, both players checked and then Lo found a second pair on the {6-Clubs} turn. After Phua checked, Lo bet 150,000. Phua made the call with his gutshot, but he came up empty when the {6-Hearts} appeared on the river, which of course gave Lo a full house.

Phua checked, Lo bet 350,000, and Phua folded.

Hand #50: Ole Schemion raised to 100,000 from the button with the {a-Spades}{2-Spades} and Dan Cates defended the big blind with the {9-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Both players checked the {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop, and then Cates check-called 50,000 on the {K-Diamonds} turn. The {3-Diamonds} turn gave Cates a full house, but he checked it. Schemion wisely checked behind and Cates took down the pot.

"That's a jungle hand," someone commented after the hand.

Hand #51: Paul Phua made it 100,000 to go from the button with the {k-Spades}{6-Clubs}, and it was enough to take down the pot.

Hand #52: Igor Kurganov looked down at the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} in early position and raised, which ended up winning the blinds and antes.

Hand #53: Daniel Colman raised to 115,000 under the gun with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #54: Paul Phua took down the pot with a raise.

Hand #55: Olivier Busquet raised from the cutoff and won the pot.

Schemion Recovering

Nível 17 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #44: Schemion opened the hijack for 80,000 with {10-Hearts}{8-Spades}. Richard Yong made the call from the small blind with {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}. Busquet called as well with {K-Clubs}{Q-Spades} in the big blind.

{A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} on the flop and both blinds checked to Schemion. Schemion made a 115,000 bet with his 3% equity hand. Yong made the call, Busquet folded second pair.

The {2-Clubs} fell on the turn and Schemion was drawing dead. Yong checked to him and Schemion bet out 225,000 into the 510,000 pot. Yong folded his top pair almost instantly, giving Schemion the pot.

Hand #45: Paul Phua in the hijack with {10-Spades}{6-Spades} raised it up and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #46: Under the gun plus one Ole Schemion opened for 85,000 with {A-Diamonds}{J-Spades}. Paul Phua called with {3-Spades}{3-Clubs} under the gun plus two. Richard Yong with {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} in the cutoff shoved allin for 660,000. Lo was in the small blind with {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts} and was contemplating a call. He did fold eventually, and so did everybody else. Yong back up to 930,000.

Hand #47: Cates opened for 80,000 under the gun plus two. Again Cates' cards didn't get picked up by the trackers. He did take down the pot though, so we'll never know.
