Colman Grabs The Lead

Nível 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #74: Kurganov on the button opened for 125,000 with {K-Spades}{2-Diamonds}, getting right back into it after losing that big pot. Cates in the big blind made the call with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}.

{A-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and both players checked. The {9-Hearts} on the turn gave Cates the best hand but again both players checked. The {7-Spades} on the river made Cates bet out 185,000. Kurganov instantly folded and Cates took down the small pot.

Hand #75: Paul Phua on the button with {J-Spades}{7-Spades} opened for 125,000. Cates in the small blind raised it up to 350,000 with {A-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Richard Yong instantly folded. Phua asked for a count, but folded as well nonetheless.

Hand #76: Colman opened under the gun for 140,000 with {A-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Everyone folded and the small pot went to Coleman. That made Coleman the chip leader of the tournament.

Hand #77: Kurganov opened under the gun for 125,000 with {A-Spades}{K-Spades}. Paul Phua in the hijack with {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs} made the call. Colman in the big blind with {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs} came along for the ride as well.

Colman flopped best on {3-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{3-Clubs}. Kurganov continuion bet for 190,000 and Phua instantly folded. Colman, having flopped top pair, wasn't so easy to release though. He made the call and the turn brought the {7-Spades} to the table. Colman checked again and Kurganov checked behind. The {5-Clubs} completed the board and Colman checked again. Kurganov checked behind but mucked his ace-king after seeing Colman's queen-nine.

Kurganov vs. Phua: Big Pockets Pair Results in Big Pot

Nível 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #73: Daniel Colman opened for 125,000 from the cutoff and Igor Kurganov called from the button. Paul Phua then three-bet to 525,000 from the big blind, Colman folded the {q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, and Kurganov called. Phua quickly called off for 1.735 million and Kurganov discovered the bad news.

Kurganov: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Phua: {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}

Phua was well out in front, and he got a hammerlock on the hand when the {k-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop gave him a set. The {3-Hearts} turn left Kurganov drawing dead, and after the {2-Spades} was run out on the river, he sent half his stack over to Phua.

Ole Schemion Eliminated in 7th Place (€307,000)

Nível 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Hand #72: Colman on the button with {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} made it 125,000. Ole Schemion in the big blind with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} raised it up to 335,000. Colman shoved allin and Schemion made the call for his tournament life.

Schemion wasn't happy calling, and wasn't happy when he saw the hands. He did point out he still had two live flush draws, but it wasn't meant to be.

The {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{Q-Spades} on the flop gave Colman a set, but Schemion the open ended. The {7-Diamonds} looked like something, but changed nothing. Schemion still needed an eight or king but wouldn't get it; {7-Clubs} on the river.

Ole Schemion eliminated in seventh place for €307,000.

Pots for Schemion and Colman

Nível 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Hand #70: Ole Schemion opened for 125,000 with {J-Spades}{10-Spades} under the gun plus one. Everybody folded and Schemion took down the first 7-handed hand.

Hand #71: Cates opened the hijack for 125,000 with {A-Spades}{2-Spades}. Daniel Colman in the small blind with {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} three-bet to 285,000. Cates made the call.

700,000 in the pot and {10-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} on the flop. With second pair and the initiative, Colman checked. Cates checked behind. The {4-Clubs} on the turn made Cates drawing dead. Colman checked again and Cates checked behind.

The {4-Diamonds} on the river paired the board. Colman bet out 225,000 and Cates folded with a disgusted look on his face.

Olivier Busquet - 8th Place
Olivier Busquet - 8th Place

Hand #69: In the first hand back from the break, Igor Kurganov opened for 125,000 holding the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} and Dan Cates just flatted from the cutoff with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Olivier Busquet got his extreme short stack all in from the small blind with the {9-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, and after the big folded, the three players saw a flop of {j-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

Kurganov check-called a bet of 135,000, and then both players checked the {7-Spades} turn. When the {10-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Kurganov checked and then folded to a bet from Cates.

"Do you have a full house?" Busquet immediately asked. Indeed Cates did, and that was the end of Busquet.

Busquet Crippled in Last Hand of the Level

Nível 18 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #64: Action folded to Igor Kurganov in the small blind and he raised to 150,000, which Ole Schemion called from the big. The {3-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{10-Diamonds} flop missed both players, and it went check-check. The {3-Spades} turn saw the action repeat itself, and then the {4-Spades} completed the board on the river. Both players checked for a third time and Kurganov won another pot.

Hand #65: Richard Yong opened for 105,000 from early position holding the {a-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}, and Rono Lo, who woke up with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} in the hijack, popped it to 330,000. Action folded back to Yong and he released his hand.

Hand #66: Ole Schemion raised to 125,000 from the button only to have Paul Phua shoved all in from the small blind with {a-}{6-}. The big folded and Schemion did the same.

Hand #67: Dan Cates limped from the small blind with the {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} and Richard Yong checked his option with the {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}. Both players then checked it down as the board ran out {5-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Yong won the pot.

Hand #68: In the last hand of the level, Ole Schemion raised to 110,000 from the hijack with the {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}. Paul Phua was next to act in the cutoff, and he three-bet to 210,000 with the {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Olivier Busquet then moved all in for 930,000 with the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} in the big blind, Schemion folded, and Phua called off for 810,00 total.

The {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}{j-Hearts} flop was no help to Busquet, and neither was the {3-Diamonds} turn. He needed a ten on the river, but it wasn't in the cards as the {7-Spades} blanked. Phua got a double, while Busquet was crippled and will be coming back to a two big blind stack.
