Praz Bansi had opened with a raise from the cutoff and Andy Frankenberger called in the big blind. A flop that read 
was checked by Frankenberger and Bansi checked behind.
The turn was greeted with a check from Frankenberger, a bet of 600 from Bansi and a call. The dealer put the 
out on the river and Frankenberger fired a bet of 1,200 into Bansi. The Brit must have believed his opponent because just over a minute later he laid down his hand.

Table 35 has been playing quite tight over the last orbit with the last four hands being settled preflop with just a standard raise. This is quit a surprise seeing how the table is the home to Chris Moorman, Sean Getzwiller, Sam Stein, Ramzi Jelassi and Olivier Busquet!
However, the fifth hand saw the action fold to Moorman on the button and he raised to 525. His only customer was Getzwiller in the big blind, who called. The flop came down 
and Getzwiller check-called a 600 continuation bet from Moorman. The 
on the turn saw Getzwiller lead into Moorman with a 1,100 bet, a bet that Moorman was not prepared to match and he folded.

From the hijack seat, Tyler Bonkowski raised to 450. He was called by Kevin MacPhee on the button and John Duthie in the big blind. The flop came down 
and action checked around to MacPhee. He bet 1,125 and only Bonkowski called.
The turn brought the 
and Bonkowski checked. MacPhee bet 2,400 and Bonkowski mucked his hand to drop back to 7,700 in chips.
Other 888 player and November Niner Sam Holden is up to 32,000 in chips and not getting too much involved at his table while fellow 888 player and November Niner Anton Makievskyi has been eliminated from the tournament.

Action folded to Tom Dwan in the cutoff seat and he raised to 500. Ami Allibay made the call from the button and everyone else folded. These two have a little bit of history because in Event #5, Dwan busted Allibay right at the end of Day 1.

and Dwan bet 900. Allibay made the call and the turn was the . Dwan bet again, this time for 2,400. Allibay called.

Tristan Wade has done very well here in the early goings on Day 1a. He's built his stack up to 72,000 and has been steadily climbing throughout these first two levels.
We walked by on one recent hand involving Wade where he was faced with a bet of 6,000 on the final board of 
. Wade took some time and even counted out chips to possibly make a raise. In the end, he only called holding the 
. His opponent had a worse two pair with the 
and Wade won the pot. That put him up to 62,500 in chips.
After that, Wade took care of a shorter-stacked player in seat two to add another 10,000 or so.

[Removed:44] made it 450 to play from under the gun and Martin Jacobson, next to act, flat-called. To the Swede's direct left was Lucien Cohen and he counted out chips worth 2,900 and he pushed them over the betting line. This was enough to fold out everyone at the table and Cohen helped himself to an extra 5,000 chips with little effort required at all.

On a board reading 
Athanasios Polychronopoulos checked to Mattern and the Frenchman set the price to play at 3,250. Polychronopoulos called from the small blind and the dealer put out the 
on the river.
Polychronopoulos now lead into Mattern with a bet of 6,600, which prompted Mattern (BTN) to ask, "did you catch the river? So sick." Thirty seconds later and Mattern's cards were flicked towards the muck.
