Top Pair Good For Martinez

Nível 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Ben Lamb opened the betting with a raise to 700 from under the gun. Two players folded but Karim Inahnah, Massimiliano Martinez and Michael Telker called. Bruno Moussi in the big blind put in the extra chips and he called.

Flop: {4-Clubs}{j-Clubs}{6-Spades} - Moussi checked, Lamb checked, Inahnah bet 2,000, Martinez called and the three other players folded.

Turn: {8-Diamonds} - Inahnah bet again, this time 3,500 and Martinez called.

River: {4-Spades} - Inahnah bet once more, a bet of 6,400 and Martinez rocked back in his chair, paused for 30 seconds before screwing up his face a little as if in pain but he still made the call.

Inahnah{A-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Martinez{K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

Martinez' top pair was good and he picks up the pot.

Guenegou Calls Down MacPhee

Nível 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

Everyone folded to Kevin MacPhee in the small blind, he raised and Thibaud Guenegou called from the big blind. A flop that read {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} was bet my MacPhee and Guenegou called. The turn brought the {A-Hearts} into play and MacPhee greeted it with a bet of 1,100 and his opponent almost instantly called.

The {9-Spades} on the river saw a 2,500 bet from MacPhee and another snap-call from the Frenchman. MacPhee mucked when he was shown {J-Clubs}{10-Spades}.

Kahan Aggression Pays Off

Nível 3 : 150/300, 0 ante

David Kahan raised under the gun and the action folded to Hoyt Corkins in the small blind and he three-bet to 3,000. Next to act was Barney Boatman and he called but Kahan was in no mood for calling and he pumped it up to 12,000.

This sent Corkins into the tank for three minutes and when he emerged he let his hand go. Boatman instantly mucked after him.

Bonkowski Getting Real Low

Tyler Bonkowski
Tyler Bonkowski

This summer, Tyler Bonkowski won Event #14: $3,000 Limit Hold'em at the 2011 World Series of Poker for $220,817. He's here playing today, but things haven't been going so well thus far.

As it currently stands, Bonkowski is down under 5,000 in chips, far from the starting stack of 30,000 he began the day with. We'll see if he can run it back up.
