Moursel Doubles Again

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

Roberto Romanello opened the pot to 8,000 from middle position, and Jean-Pierre Grand Moursel three-bet shoved for 36,500. Romanello considered for a moment as the dealer broke down the bet, and he eventually settled on the call to put Moursel at risk.

Showdown
Romanello: {A-Spades} {8-Clubs}
Moursel: {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}

The {5-Hearts} {4-Spades} {6-Hearts} flop drew a bit of a brow raise from both men, but Romanello could not chase down his gutterball. The turn {4-Clubs} and river {A-Hearts} were no help, and he's granted Moursel another double, pushing him up to 82,500 now.

Carlo Savinelli Eliminated in 15th Place (€9,141)

Carlo Savinelli - 15th Place
Carlo Savinelli - 15th Place

Action folded to Bernard Guigon on the button and he raised to 8,000. Roberto Romanello reraised to 27,500 from the small blind. Carlo Savinelli moved all in for around 150,000 from the big blind. Guigon folded and Romanello called.

Savinelli held the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and was dominating Romanello's {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}. Fortunately for Romanello, an ace flopped as the board ran out {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{2-Hearts} and he busted Savinelli in 15th place.

Nedjai Wins Despite Preflop Error

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

From under the gun, Andrew Hinrichsen raised to 9,000. Action folded to Nabil Nedjai in the big blind and he put out 14,000. It was ruled that per the rules at the World Series of Poker Europe here in France, Nedjai must reraise and make it 18,000. He did and Hinrichsen called.

After the flop came down {8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts}, both players checked. The turn was the {Q-Spades} and Nedjai bet 22,000. Hinrichsen folded and Nedjai won the pot.

Eames' Jacks Lose

On the {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, John Eames check-called a bet of 16,000 from Nabil Nedjai before the dealer placed the {K-Spades} out on the turn. Eames checked, Nedjai bet 29,000 and Eames called.

The river was the {9-Hearts} and both players checked. Eames tabled the {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}, but he was beat by the {K-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds} for Nedjai.

Gianluca Cedolia Eliminated in 17th Place (€7,527)

Nível 17 : 2,000/4,000, 500 ante

With his stack dwindling down under half the average, Gianluca Cedolia got the last of his chips in with {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades}. Mendel Benoit promptly woke up with {9-Clubs} {9-Hearts}, and he made the call with his covering stack as the rest of the table ducked out.

The {3-Clubs} {10-Spades} {9-Spades} flop was even more of a disaster for the at-risk player, now needing runner-runner straight cards to stay alive. The turn {8-Hearts} ended any potential drama, and the {6-Hearts} river is the last card Cedolia will see today. He's out in 17th place, good for a €7,527 payday.

William Koks Eliminated in 18th Place (€7,527)

William Koks was just eliminated by Andrew Hinrichsen. According to Hinrichsen, he raised the hijack seat and Koks flatted in the cutoff seat. The flop came {J-}{x-}{x-} with two hearts and Hinrichsen check-called a bet before another {j-} fell on the turn. Hinrichsen checked again and Koks moved all in. Hinrichsen called with {J-}{9-} for trips. Koks just held {10-}{8-} for a ten-high bluff. The river was a blank and Koks hit the rail.

Guigon Doubles

Action folded to Bernard Guigon in the small blind and he slid a couple tall stacks forward for a raise to 26,000. In the big blind Gianluca Cedolia announced a call, but Guigon still had 20,000 chips behind. The dealer dealt the flop {A-Hearts}{J-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Guigon moved all in for his last 20,000. Cedolia called, but wasn't happy.

Cedolia held the {K-Spades}{K-Clubs} and Guigon the {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}. The turn was the {6-Spades} and the river the {2-Diamonds} to give Guigon the double.
