Chance Kornuth Leads Remaining 348 Players on Day 2 of Event #68: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em

The remaining 348 players in Event #68: $3,000 No-Limit Hold’em restart at 12 p.m. to play ten and a half more levels before bagging for the night.

Chance Kornuth leads the field with 192,600 chips to begin the day. He is followed at the top of the counts by Anton Bertilsson (179,000), Alan Schein (177,800), Charlie Carrel (159,200) and Michael Delvecchio III (153,100).

A total of 1349 entered this $3,000 buy-in event on Day 1, generating a prize pool of $3,642,300. The 203 players surviving the bubble today will be guaranteed $4,496. The champion will collect $645,922 along with a WSOP gold bracelet.

Some notables still in the hunt include John Racener (21,200), Natasha Mercier (54,000), Matt Affleck (52,300), Andy Frankenberger (33,500), Ryan Laplante (14,300) and Dietrich Fast (98,500).

Blinds will begin at 600/1,200 today. There will be 15-minute breaks every two hours of play and a 60-minute dinner break after the sixth level, around 6:30 p.m.

Kornuth is all smiles and tries to get 'Show One' going, which means everyone at his table has to show one card upon showdown. Much to Kornuth's surprise, the entire table agreed to his proposal, including Emmy Award-winner Ray Romano, and thus Miranda #605 will feature a lot of open cards today.

As he made the proposal, Kornuth also raised to 2,800 from early position. Brett Shaffer made it 7,600 from the small blind, and Kornuth quickly changed into serious mode. After pondering for a while, he made it 14,900, and Shaffer folded reluctantly.

Kornuth Continues To Chip Up

Gentili Doubles Big Through Van Nguyen

Carrel Gets Fully Paid

Stone-Cold Savelyev Shows Wilkerson the Bluff
