On the first hand, he opened from under the gun with a raise to 10,500. Ryan Hughes was the only caller from the small blind. Hughes took two while Negreanu took one. Hughes then bet 20,000, and Negreanu moved all in for not much more. Hughes called.
Both players took one apiece on the second draw, then one more on the third draw.

"Give him a six," Negreanu requested. "Oh wait, I threw away three sixes."
Negreanu was holding . Hughes peeled first and revealed a making him the nuts and giving him an unbeatable hand. Negreanu showed his , and he was eliminated in 12th place, collecting $7,188 for his finish.
It folded to David "ODB" Baker, on the button, who moved all in for 48,400. Ismael Bojang folded in the small blind, and Jerry Wong called in the big blind.
Wong drew three and Baker two.

"Naked jacks, Dave," said Wong.
"First one's a four-across diamond, but I already have one of those," said Baker, referring to his . "The second's a no-spotter spade."
He slammed the face up on the table, confirming what he already knew. For good measure, he turned over the and was eliminated in 10th place for $9,336.
Ismael Bojang limped from the cutoff. Jerry Wong folded his button, and Andrew Kelsall completed his small blind. Jens Lakemeier then raised to 44,000 from the big blind. Both other players called.
The flop came . Bojang was holding his hands in front of his face to obscure his view of the flop.
"I hope they check to me, then I'm good," said Bojang. Kelsall checked, but Lakemeier bet the pot for 134,400. Bojang tanked for a while before calling.
Kelsall seemed to think about his decision for a good while. "If I fold, I'm gonna have to go over there for a couple of minutes and stare into the corner," he said. Eventually, he folded.

On the first hand back from break, Ryan Hughes opened with a raise to 17,000. Action folded to Maco Johnson, who moved all in with a shorter stack. Before the dealer could finish counting, Hughes called.
Johnson stood pat.
"I have a straight, Hughes said, then took one.
Johnson showed for a ten-eight smooth, while Hughes had . He needed a nine, three, or two to eliminate Johnson. His last card was a and that did it.
Johnson was eliminated in eighth place, collecting $12,390 for his efforts.
