"When a tournament poker palyer dies, they should donate their brain," said Mike Matusow shortly after arriving in the $2,500 Big Bet Mix field.
"I mean, you have to be mentally deranged to play tournament poker," he continued. "Who in God's name — no offence Jon [Turner] — would ever want to do that?!"
"I'm out of position," said Matusow, facing a raise in the big blind, "so I'm supposed to call and I will draw one."
He drew one and his opponent also drew one.
"I'm going to bet the pot." Matusow bet 550 and his opponent mucked. Matusow showed and took down the small pot.
Ian O'hara opened with a raise to 250 from the cutoff. On the button, Brian Rast made it 750. Action folded back to O'hara who called.
The flop was and O'hara checked over to Rast. Rast made it 900 and O'hara called.
The turn was the and both players checked to see the on the river. O'hara checked a third time. Rast though for a while, then put out a bet of 1,600. O'hara called quickly.
Rast showed , playing the board, but O'hara showed for a better two pairs, and he took down the pot.
