Randy Ohel Eliminated

Nível 9 : 400/800, 200 ante
Randy Ohel
Randy Ohel

Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo

Randy Ohel bet 600 on a board of {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{10-Spades}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}. Brandon Cantu raised to 2,800 and Jerome Middendorf called.

Ohel had only 2,700 total, and the table was the next to break, with tournament officials having already started handing out racks to Daniel Negreanu and Adam Owen. Ohel went into the tank.

"It's so sick that we're the next table breaking," he said, "I could move straight into the big blind. If I knew that I was moving to the button..."

Eventually he called and all hands were shown.

Ohel: {3-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Cantu: {10-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Middendorf: {j-Clubs}{8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{a-Spades}

Middendorf announced straight flush, only for his Jack to be the Jack of clubs not the Jack of spades. Cantu took down the pot with a full house, sevens full of tens and Ohel was eliminated.

Matusow Doubles Through Turner

Nível 9 : 400/800, 200 ante

No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw

Mike Matusow raised to 2,400 from under the gun and was called by Calvin Anderson in the cutoff. Jon Turner then put in a raise to 11,000 from the button. Action folded back to Matusow and he moved all in. Anderson folded but Turner called.

Matusow stood pat, slamming the table to indicate his action while Turner took one.

Matusow turned up {9-}{7-}{6-}{5-}{4-} and Turner showed {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-}.

"It's four across," Turner said sweating his last card.

"Four across is all me!" Matusow said excitedly.

Turner turned up the {9-} he drew and that would lock up the pot for Matusow.

"I mean I don't know what you're gonna go with if you don't go with that," Anderson said to Matusow after the hand.

"I never have any chips," Matusow said. "I'm just trying to entertain you guys."

Jerry Wong Catches a Bluff to Massively Increase His Stack

Nível 9 : 400/800, 200 ante

Pot-Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw

We caught up to the action after players had already taken their third draw. Jerry Wong was facing off against one opponent and there was already over 35,000 in the pot. Wong's opponent was first to act and he put out a bet of 18,000. Wong thought for roughly a minute before he opted to put in the chips to call.

Wong's opponent let out a heavy sigh and showed {7-}{7-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. Wong turned up his own {8-}{7-}{6-}{4-}{3-} and that was good to for him to take down the massive pot.

Nobody Knows What They Are Supposed To Do

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 250 ante
Calvin Anderson
Calvin Anderson

No-Limit 5 Card Draw

Calvin Anderson had moved one opponent all in before the draw and the player called.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do here," the player said, eventually throwing away two cards.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do here," Anderson said as well. He revealed {K-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} then started laughing. "I mean I guess I'm supposed to go for the flush because I have more outs."

Eventually he decided to pitch in his {6-Hearts}. His opponent showed {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}. They decided that Anderson would show his draw first. He revealed a {Q-Hearts} and that was it for the hand as Anderson didn't improve.

"He has the nuts over there anyways," Matusow said as the player showed {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for trips.

"I don't know if you're supposed to go with tens there," Anderson said. "I mean against a normal player. Against me it's fine but not against a normal person."

Anderson was forced to cut out 6,275 and send it over to his opponent.

Wong's Stack Continues to Grow

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 250 ante

No-Limit Hold'em

One player moved all in before the flop and was called by Jerry Wong with a covering stack.

Wong: {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Opponent: {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

It looked as if it would for sure be a chop but Wong flopped two clubs, turned one more, then rivered a flush to send his opponent to the rail.

"Fitting," the player said as headed to the rail. "Good luck everyone."

With that Wong pushed himself further up the chip counts towards the pole position.

Brandon Shack-Harris Chips Up After All In

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 250 ante

The player on the button raised to 800. Brandon Cantu three-bet to 3,200 and Brandon Shack-Harris moved all in from the big blind for 4,875. Both the button and Cantu called and the flop came {10-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{4-Spades}.

The two players checked and Cantu check-called 3,500 on the {3-Diamonds} turn. The river was the {8-Diamonds} and both players checked.

Button: {k-Spades}{a-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Cantu: {3-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Hearts}
Shack-Harris: {k-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{a-Clubs}

Negreanu Gets a Big Knockout to Close in on the Chip Lead

Nível 10 : 500/1,000, 250 ante
Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

No-Limit Hold'em

Daniel Negreanu opened from the cutoff with a raise to 2,500. He was called by one player on the button and Ian O'Hara in the big blind.

The flop came {A-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and O'Hara checked to Negreanu who put out a bet of 4,000. The player on the button called but O'Hara folded.

On the turn, Negreanu led out again, this time with a bet of 9,000. The button player called once more.

The river was the {4-Clubs} and Negreanu moved all in with a covering stack. This put the player in the button into the tank. He had close to 26,000 behind.

"Did I play the mixed tournament to bust in hold'em?" he asked himself. "Probably."

He then started to stare at Negreanu. "If I stare at you long enough, maybe you'll just give it away," he said. "I'm probably calling here, just give me a couple minutes to think about this guys."

While this was happening Negreanu just sat silently with a hand covering his mouth.

Eventually the player put in the chips to call. Negreanu immediately turned up {A-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flopped two pair that turned into a whole house.

The player tapped the table. "Alright, i'd like to go back to my old table with all the chips I just had," he said. He wished everyone luck and headed to the rail as Negreanu collected the chips and moved close to the chip leader spot at the end of the night.
