James Obst completed, and he was raised by Brian Rast. Obst called, and the two headed to fourth street. There, Obst check-called a bet from Rast. Obst check-called again on fifth. On sixth street, Rast took the betting lead, and he led out. Obst called. Rast bet again on seventh, and Obst called one more time.
Rast showed for a pair of eights and an eight-six low. Obst showed . His pair of sixes were no good, and his eight-six low had a three rather than a two, so Rast scooped the pot.
Brandon Shack-Harris had the action on fifth street, and he bet it. Both Dan Smith and one other player at the table called. Shack-Harris bet again on sixth. This time, Smith raised. The other player made it three bets. Shack Harris called. Smith moved all in for 11,000, and both players called him. On seventh, Shack-Harris and his opponent checked it down.
Shack-Harris showed for aces up. The other player had for a low that was better than Shack-Harris'. Smith showed for a worse two pair than Shack-Harris', and he was eliminated from the tournament while Shack-Harris and the other player chopped the pot.
On fifth street, the action was capped by Jesse Martin, and he was called by both Matthew Kelly and Scott Bohlman. On sixth street, Bohlman only had 400 left, and he moved all in. Both opponents called. On seventh, Martin and Kelly both checked.
Martin showed for aces up. Kelly had for a low.
"I got lucky," Bohlman said. He showed for trips, and that earned him half the pot. Kelly took the other half with the low, and Martin's chips were chopped up.
On fourth street, it checked to Ben Yu, who bet. Mike Sexton called.
"You know, boys," said Katherine Fleck, "I feel the need to raise," and she did so.
Both opponents called. Sexton checked on fifth street and called a bet from Fleck, as did Yu. On sixth street. Yu checked, and Sexton bet. Both other players called. On seventh street Yu checked and Sexton bet. Fleck called, and Yu folded.
Fleck showed for kings, but Sexton had that beat with .
Fleck let out an exasperated sigh. "You got me," she said.
Justin Bonomo completed. Negreanu made it two bets. Stephen Chidwick called, as did Bonomo. On fourth street, all three players checked. Bonomo picked up the betting lead on fifth, and he bet. Only Chidwick called. Bonomo bet again on sixth, and Chidwick called again. Chidwick called one more bet on seventh.
Bonomo showed for three sixes, and that earned a muck from Chidwick. Bonomo scooped the pot.
On a table a few rows down, James Obst made two pair on his board of with against Dzmitry Urbanovich, who mucked. That left Urbanovich with just 2,000 chips, and he was eliminated just a few hands later.
