Nível 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Marc Lagaze
Marc Lagaze

Lawrence Wayne called from the cutoff, and Marc Lagaze found a call from the small blind. Matthew Parry checked from the big blind.

The flop came 59A, and all three players checked around.

While the turn peeled off the J, Lagaze led out for 275,000. Both remaining players found the call.

The river was the 3, and both early players checked to Wayne. He fired for 600,000 and was quickly raised to 1,600,000 by Lagaze. Both remaining players folded for Lagaze to take the pot uncontested.

Levenberry Takes Down A Big One With No Showdown

Nível 27 : Blinds 50,000/100,000, 100,000 ante
Cuba Levenberry
Cuba Levenberry

Cuba Levenberry limped from under the gun as did Ian Matakis, Matthew Parry from the button and Connor Drinan in the big blind leading to a 868 flop.

Drinan opted to lead into the field with a bet of 250,000 and got called by Levenberry, Matakis and Parry with all four players seeing the A hit the turn.

Action checked to Parry who put out a bet of 700,000, which didn't thin the field much as both Drinan and Levenberry called before Matakis got out of the way to bring the 10 out on the river.

Drinan checked to Levenberry who spent a couple minutes counting down his stack and thinking before eventually taking both hands and sliding his remaining chips into the middle, a bet that wasn't much smaller than the pot.

Parry didn't waste much time in folding and Drinan did the same to give the pot to Levenberry without a need for a showdown.

Kyle Merron Eliminated in 8th Place ($42,107)

Nível 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Kyle Merron
Kyle Merron

Matthew Parry raised to 225,000 from the button and got called by Kyle Merron in the big blind to bring out the 5Q8 flop.

Merron checked to Parry who continued with a bet of 200,000. Parry called, prompting the dealer to burn and turn the 7.

Merron check again and Parry tossed out a bet of 400,000. Merron paused briefly before announcing all in. Parry snap-called to put Merron at risk with one card to come.

Kyle Merron: K984
Matthew Parry: AJ74

When the cards were turned up, Merron quickly saw that he was drawing dead. Both players had flopped a flush with Merron having also flopped a gut-shot straight flush draw, but his one would-be out, the 7, was in Parry's hand.

The dealer put out the inconsequential 8 on the river to make it official as Merron stood to exit the tournament area in eighth place for $42,107.

Parry Eventually Grabs Chip Lead in Huge Pot

Nível 26 : Blinds 40,000/80,000, 80,000 ante
Matthew Parry
Matthew Parry

Matthew Parry and Kyle Merron had reached the turn in a pot that had already swollen to over one million chips. Parry checked to Merron from the big blind on the A77A board and Merron added 900,000 more to the pot on the button. Parry then check-raised to 2,100,000 and this move sent Merron into a tank that would last for several minutes.

Eventually, he made the call and the 2 river subsequently arrived. Parry now went all in, covering the 2,075,000 chips Merron had left himself behind. Another long tank followed from Merron.

"If I had a full house, I obviously would have called by now," Merron explained.

Ultimately, though, he let it go, shipping the big pot to now-chipleader Parry, and play on the final two tables could finally continue.
