First Break of The Day

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Players are now on their first 20-minute break of the day. Blinds will be 200/300/300 when play resumes.

The first level of the day saw a lot of action and interesting hands. Steven Stolzenfeld's trip kings ran down queens, Daniela Rodriguez and dog "Nala" found some early run good, and Jake Schwartz nearly found a big pot but was forced to settle with a chop.

Schwartz Cruelly Denied Large Early Pot

With 6,000 already in the middle with the board reading {7-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}, the big blind checked over to Jake Schwartz, who bet 4,000. The big blind called.

The river brought the {9-Spades} and the big blind lead for 10,000. Schwartz, who has reached 10 WSOP final tables, raised to 35,000 and the big blind called.

Schwartz showed {10-Hearts}{9-Clubs} having flopped a straight but was cruelly denied the pot as the big blind had {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}, having made top pair on the turn and making a straight on the river.

Schwartz was quick to snatch the 35,000 chips in front of him, visibly frustrated as he was forced to split the pot.

Rotariu Wins With Ace-High

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

In a pot of roughly 13,000 on a flop of {j-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}, George Rotariu checked from under the gun and his opponent checked back on the button.

The {4-Hearts} came on the turn and Rotariu bet 6,000 which was called. On the {7-Spades} river both players checked and Rotariu rolled over {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} for ace-high and his opponent looked annoyed for not betting the river and mucked their cards.

Woods Hits Trips to Earn Nice Early Pot

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

The under-the-gun player opened to 600 and Blake Woods three-bet to 1,800 from the hijack. The cutoff cold-called and the initial raiser also joined the party.

The flop came {k-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Woods continued for 2,300. The cutoff called and the under-the-gun player got out of the way.

Woods asked the cutoff if they wanted to check the rest of the hand down and the cutoff agreed before the two were informed that they were not allowed to do so.

They had already tapped the table on the {k-Hearts} turn and on the {9-Hearts} river, after being warned, Woods fired a bet of 3,000. His opponent folded and Woods showed {k-Spades}{q-Spades} after he scooped the pot.

Grujic Flops Straight Flush Draw, Can't Hit

Nível 1 : Blinds 100/200, 200 ante

Marko Grujic opened from late position for 600 and was called by both the small blind and Stefan Peukert from the big blind.

The flop came {8-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and it checked around.

The {9-Spades} hit the turn and Peukert put out a bet of 1,300. Grujic called and the small blind got out of the way.

The {3-Clubs} arrived on the river and both players checked. Peukert turned over {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts} for a missed straight draw. Grujic said it was good, claiming he flopped an open-ended straight flush draw with {7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and didn't hit.

The turn was the {6-Clubs}. Her opponent bet 2,000 and Saliba called again.

The {k-Diamonds} filled out the board on the river. Saliba bet 3,500 after her opponent checked and she was called.

She tabled the {10-Spades}{8-Spades} for the straight, while her opponent tapped the table to indicate nice hand and showed his beaten {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}.
