Star-Studded Field Returns for Day 2 of Event #50: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em

After a staggering 52 entries were recorded on the opening day, there will be at least 30 players returning to their seats for Day 2 of Event #50: $250,000 Super High Roller No-Limit Hold'em. The action will be getting underway at 2 p.m. local time.
It was a Who's Who of Poker on Day 1 with some of the greatest poker players in the world colliding with some of the richest, who enjoy playing as a hobby. "This is one of the best high rollers ever," was definitely the consensus amongst the field and it showed, breaking last year's attendance early in the day and late registration is still open.
Among some of the greats were Adrian Mateos (9,745,000), Phil Ivey (6,830,000), and Dario Sammartino (4,835,000) who finished at the top of the leaderboard. Mateos is looking to defend his title from 2021 and add a fifth WSOP gold bracelet to his name while it's still early in his career. Ivey, who attracted the largest rail yesterday, is still on the quest for his 11th bracelet and first in no-limit hold'em. While Sammartino has yet to capture his first piece of jewelry, he will be hoping to rectify a runner-up finish at the 2019 WSOP Main Event in this, the largest buy-in of his career.
They will be forced to battle their way through other pro players the likes of Alex Foxen, Koray Aldemir, and Ben Heath just to name a few. However, there is also the unpredictability of playing with some wealthy amateurs who enjoy mixing it up with these pros. Kathy Lehne showed she was no pushover on Day 1, bagging up a stack of 1,965,000 chips. David Einhorn has had success before and he will be back with 855,000 chips as he looks to make another deep run. Others like Rick Salomon and Liron Shimon could also return before the start of play begins.
Late registration will remain open until the cards go in the air, which will likely attract many more players considering they will be given a starting stack of 1,500,000 chips. The blinds will continue on level 11 at 15,000/30,000, and a 30,000 big blind ante, good enough for 50 big blinds. The schedule is to play down to five players today, but as usual, that is always up in the air for these events. There will be a 60-minute dinner break scheduled for after the sixth level of the day.
