Blackman's Top Pair Good for Knockout

Nível 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

The heads-up action was picked up with 11,000 in the middle and a flop of {9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}.

Scott Blackman put in a bet before the small blind put in a raise to 8,700, leaving just a single 100 chip in his stack. Blackman tossed a few chips in, believing he was calling a shove and nearly revealing his hole cards before the dealer and other players alerted him to his opponent's remaining chip.

On the {8-Clubs} turn, his opponent put in that final chip, and Blackman made the call.

Opponent: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Blackman: {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts}

Blackman's flopped top pair was best. His opponent had outs, but the river bricked out for him, ensuring that Blackman's pair of aces was still good, knocking out his opponent while he scooped the pot to add to his impressive Day 1 stack.

Sailor Gets the Double

Nível 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

Joining the action as five players go to the flop of {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades}. Action checked to the button who bet 2,000. Only Brad Sailor called in the big blind.

Action was now heads up and the turn was the {5-Diamonds}. Sailor checked to his opponent who bet 6,000. Sailor quickly announced "all in" for 20,700 and his opponent called. Sailor turned over {q-Spades}{4-Spades} for a flush draw and an open-ended straight draw while the button had {8-Spades}{6-Spades} for a pair with a flush draw that was dominated.

The river was the {9-Spades} which secured the double up for Sailor and his opponent was left with scraps.

Joly's River Bet Takes it Down

Nível 3 : 200/300, 300 ante

After a raise to 1,100 from early position, Bastien Joly made the call on the button. After the small blind got out of the way, the big blind put in a reraise to 4,500. The original raiser got out of the way before Joly made the call, giving heads-up action to the flop.

The big blind slowed down on the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} flop, checking the action to Joly, who checked behind.

On the {6-Spades} turn, the big blind checked again, and this time Joly fired for 3,500. The opponent quickly made the call.

When the {3-Spades} river hit, Joly continued for another 9,000. His opponent thought for a moment or two before making the fold and giving the pot to Joly.

Gustafson Takes Back to Back Pots

Nível 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

A raise to 600 from late position got 3 callers, giving four way action to the flop.

A continuation bet of 500 was made on the {6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{k-Hearts} flop, which was called by Phil Gustafson on the button, as well as the small blind, before the big blind got out of the way.

The {5-Spades} turn was checked through before the {k-Spades} river. The small blind fired for 1,000, getting a call from late position before Gustafson put in a raise to 3,600. The small blind was the only caller. Gustafson turned over {3-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for the six high straight, while his opponent showed {k-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for trip kings. Gustafson's straight was good, and he raked in the pot.

On the next hand, five players limped preflop, before Gustafson fired for 600 on the {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop, getting just one caller, the big blind.

On the {10-Hearts} turn, Gustafson continued for 2,500, getting a quick fold from his opponent, giving him his second consecutive pot.

Yuan's Aces Improve to Full Boat on River

Nível 2 : 100/200, 200 ante

The heads-up action was picked up with 4,500 already in the pot and a board of {7-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}.

Ye Yuan fired for 2,200 from the cutoff. His opponent made the call from under the gun.

The {5-Spades} turn was checked by both players, before the {q-Hearts} river elicited a bet of 1,300 from Yuan's opponent. Yuan began counting out a raise to 7,000, and got called before his chips had even hit the felt.

"You got aces?" his opponent asked, as Yuan turned over {a-Clubs}{a-Spades} for top boat. His opponent hit the table in frustration, remarking "only two cards that could beat me," as he tossed his hand in the muck, "good hand." He did not show his own hand, but claimed to have pocket sevens for a full house of his own. Nevertheless, Yuan scooped the big early pot.
