Day 2 of Event #36: $1,500 Seven Card Stud Hi-Lo 8 or Better at the World Series of Poker (WSOP) is almost underway and will commence at 2 p.m. PDT in the Bally's gold section. Bracelet winner Kenny Hsiung sits second in chips heading into the second day of play with a stack of 224,000.
Hsiung, a limit specialist, has already had a fantastic start to this summer's WSOP that saw him final tabling two events, Event #9: $1,500 Seven Card Stud (5th - $22,344) and Event #20: $1,500 Limit 2-7 Lowball Triple Draw (8th - $8,230).
Other players who bagged big on Day 1 of the event include Pearce Arnold (244,500), Bruce Hoyt (196,000), Ali Eslami (189,500) and Chad Campbell (185,000).

Many of poker's biggest names are still among the 152 players remaining, including Barry Greenstein, Michael Mizrachi, Todd Brunson, Alex Livingston and Max Pescatori.
Day 2 will play for a total of ten levels with a 60-minute dinner break after Level 21 around 9:30 p.m. Only 71 spots will pay in the tournament with $135,260 awaiting the eventual champion.

Guo called bets on fourth and fifth streets before calling the last 2,000 chips held by Twete on sixth street.
Guo saw that his opponent had a straight and would need to make a low to avoid doubling up his opponent. He peeled over the which awarded the pot to Twete.

Bell bet a final time on seventh street and Arnold folded, while Hong made the call.

Jon Kyte three-bet all in on fifth street and his two opponents, Chad Campbell and Kyle Hinnerichs, both called.
Campbell bet on sixth street and Hinnerichs folded to get the hand heads-up. Kyte showed a straight and a six-five low to be ahead, while Campbell had outs with a flush draw.
Campbell didn't get there on seventh street and Kyte scooped a big pot to triple up.
"A straight and a low on fifth. That's a pretty good hand," said Kyte.
"Better than most," replied a tablemate.
