Mike Krasienko Eliminated in 19th Place ($57,738)

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Mike Krasienko
Mike Krasienko

Sam Stein raised from the cutoff and short stack Mike Krasienko pushed for around 275,000 in the small blind, having just forfeited the big blind and big blind ante. Stein quickly called and the cards were tabled.

Mike Krasienko: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}
Sam Stein: {a-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Following a board of {7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}, Stein turned a pair and rivered two pair to crack the aces of Krasienko. After being a short stack for a very long time, Krasienko's tournament came to an end in 19th place for $57,738.

Shuda Successfully Jams Into Lamb

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Gregory Shuda
Gregory Shuda

Ben Lamb raised to 135,000 in the cutoff and Gregory Shuda called out of the big blind. On the {q-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop and the {10-Clubs} turn, both players elected to check. Shuda then bet the {4-Clubs} river for 200,000 and Lamb raised to 575,000.

Shuda then potted but was in fact all-in for less than the full pot. Lamb asked for an exact count and the push was deemed to be for 1,570,000 in total. There was a smirk on Lamb's face and he then announced the fold, telling his opponent "you can show the bluff now".

Shuda did nothing whatsoever as he just chucked the cards into the muck before collecting the pot.

Kornuth Takes the Lead on the Feature Table

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

On a completed board of {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{j-Hearts}, Chance Kornuth bet 475,000 out of the big blind. James Chen mulled it over for a bit and opted to call.

Kornuth tabled the {q-Spades}{j-Spades}{j-Clubs}{3-Spades} for jacks full and Chen mucked the {j-Diamonds}.

James Chen Eliminated in 18th Place ($57,738)

James Chen (US)
James Chen (US)

Picking up the action on the {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, James Chen from under the gun got his short stack in and was snapped off by Jonathan Depa from two seats over.

James Chen: {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Jonathan Depa: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{5-Hearts}

Chen's bottom two pair had a gutshot to go with it against the top set of Depa. Nothing changed on the {5-Diamonds} turn and {6-Diamonds} river runout to send Chen to the payout desk in 18th place for $57,738.

Lamb Suffers Another Setback as Li Doubles

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Over on the second outer table, Ben Lamb was not too pleased after his move on a board of {j-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{10-Hearts} was paid off by Tong Li, who doubled for around 900,000 when all the action was completed. Lamb tabled the {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Clubs} for a pair of aces with the nut flush blocker and a missed wheel draw.

Li, however, had the best of it with the {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} for a flush to the queen and surpassed Lamb on the leaderboard.

Back to the Drawing Board for Kornuth

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Chance Kornuth defended the big blind and then led the {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{a-Spades} turn before leading the pot on the {7-Clubs} river. Fabian Brandes called all-in for 1,020,000 and Kornuth flashed a {a-Hearts}{7-}{4-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}. Brandes had the nuts with the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for quads sixes and scored the full double up, nearly evening out the stacks.

"It was worth a try," Kornuth said with a grin on the face before then adding "back to the drawing board."

Hubbard Goes Runner-Runner to Double

Nível 23 : 25,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Stephen Hubbard
Stephen Hubbard

Stephen Hubbard limped in middle position, Aaron Mermelstein limped in on the button, and Jonas Kronwitter raised to 250,000 in the small blind. Hubbard then jammed for 785,000, Mermelstein folded, and Kronwitter called.

Stephen Hubbard: {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Jonas Kronwitter: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}

The {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop left Hubbard in rough shape, although the {q-Spades} turn gave him some hope, and the {q-Diamonds} hit the river to give Hubbard the best hand and keep his tournament life alive.

"Yes! I'm the greatest!" yelled Hubbard as he found an unlikely double.

Arieh Gets Full Value From Lamb

Nível 24 : 30,000/60,000, 60,000 ante

Ben Lamb defended the big blind against a raise by Josh Arieh and subsequently check-called three bets on a board of {j-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}.

The final bet was worth 900,000 and that sent Lamb into the tank. He invested two time banks and eventually called to get shown {a-Spades}{10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Clubs} for the nut flush by Arieh.
