"Great Summer" for Diebold Continues

Nível 12 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Ben Diebold
Ben Diebold

Ben Diebold was all-in for the last 38,000 and up against David Prociak as he finally got his short stack in after more than one hour of play on Day 2.

Ben Diebold: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{9-Spades}
David Prociak: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}

The {a-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop and {4-Spades} turn left Diebold on the brink of elimination and potential re-entry but the {k-Diamonds} river improved him to a superior full house.

"It's gonna be a great summer for Ben", Nicholas Julia joked and Diebold immediately replied "it will be a great summer". After paying off his opponent, Prociak sighed and added "I had a good feeling about that one."

Ben Yu
Ben Yu

In a three-bet pot to the {j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} with 122,000 in the middle, Tommy Ly bet 100,000 while enjoying a massage. He was hiding his face while Ben Yu was in the tank and joked "just let me know when he called". He almost peeked out of the shirt but players at the table replied "he hasn't called yet" but that's exactly what happened two seconds later.

Ben Yu: {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades}
Tommy Ly: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Diamonds}

Chris DeMaci

Deeb Busts to Ball

Shaun Deeb
Shaun Deeb

With over 100,000 in the pot on a {q-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop, Shaun Deeb was all-in from early position for a little over 100,000, Scott Ball called in the hijack, and the button player folded.

Shaun Deeb: {k-Clubs}{q-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Scott Ball: {a-Spades}{a-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{2-Spades}

"How much is it?" asked Ball.

"Hold on," Deeb replied as he awaited the runout. "Some black card could come."

The {6-Spades} fell on the turn.

"That's unfortunately a black card I didn't want to see," Deeb said.

The dealer burned and turned to put down the {10-Spades} river onto the felt, completing Ball's flush and eliminating the 2021 winner of this event, as Deeb said his "gg"s and made his exit.
