Elezra Wins a Large Three-Way Pot

Nível 7
Eli Elezra
Eli Elezra

Stud Hi-Lo

Michael Moncek: {x-}{x-} / {10-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{10-Spades} / {x-}
Jason Su: {x-}{x-} / {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{9-Clubs} / {x-}
Eli Elezra: {x-}{x-} / {k-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Clubs} / {x-}

A large three-way pot emerged in which Eli Elezra bet sixth street to get called by Michael Moncek and Jason Su. Elezra checked seventh and Moncek bet for almost his entire remaining short stack. Su called and Elezra also called as well.

Moncek revealed two pair and a missed low draw while Su had aces up. However, it was Elezra who dragged in the large pot with {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} for a set of kings. Moncek had fumes left, chopped the next hand to double before he was knocked out right after that.

Elezra then thanked newly arrived Ryan Miller for picking this particular game. "You are welcome, I gotta help you out," Miller replied.

Mueller Doubles Up through Claasen

Nível 7

Big O

Greg Mueller was all-in for his tournament life on the {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts} flop in a recent hand of Big O.

Greg Mueller: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}
Christopher Claassen: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades}{2-Spades}

Mueller needed help to stay alive and he got it, in two perfect cards as the {4-Hearts} and {2-Hearts} rolled off, giving him the nut flush for high and a wheel for low to boost his stack back near its starting point.

Brown Doesn't Call the Shove by Schwartz

Nível 8

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

On the tail end of a bigger confrontation between Jake Schwartz and Andrew Brown, there were nearly 70,000 in the middle. Schwartz jammed for 42,400 and Brown went deep into the tank. He talked to himself and his opponent, essentially declaring he was trying to talk himself out of a call.

Indeed, the fold followed and more table chat by Brown followed. "I folded the worst eight-six in the deck. I don't believe him, the body language says he didn't have it," Brown added.

Kruse Survives Thanks to Final Draw

Nível 8

Badugi

Facing two potential executioners on the final draw, Max Kruse drew one card against Ben Diebold and Jean-Robert Bellande.

Kruse said he had to break a king badugi on the final draw, and was packed and ready to go, but as he put his final hand together then turned it over, he showed {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{3-Spades}{a-Diamonds}, pulling the {5-Hearts} on the end to win the pot and survive.

Guagenti Folds to Gregorich's Aggression

Nível 8

Omaha Hi-Lo

Heads-up to the {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop, Mark Gregorich bet and Nick Guagenti raised. Gregorich then made it three bets and Guagenti tossed in calling chips. Gregorich instantly bet the {4-Diamonds} turn and the fold by Guagenti followed.

The table now also features Mark Benson, who entered recently and lost a big portion of his stack almost immediately.

Brunner Jams Up Stack Without Showdown

Nível 8

Pot-Limit 2-7 Triple Draw

On the final draw, Keith Lehr and Jesse McGinty both took one new card while Brian Brunner patted. McGinty pushed for around 31,000 in the small blind and Lehr quickly folded. McGinty took longer but came to the same conclusion, as the pot worth 51,000 was sent to Brunner.

Lehr admitted in table chat that he broke a nine while McGinty and Brunner started some discussion as well in which Brunner mentioned "I had a good hand but not great."

Mizrachi Scoops Madsen

Nível 8

Stud Hi-Lo

Jeff Madsen: {x-}{x-} / {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{a-Spades} / {x-}
Robert Mizrachi: {x-}{x-} / {7-Spades}{6-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} / {x-}

Jeff Madsen completed and Robert Mizrachi raised for Madsen to call. Both checked fourth street before Madsen bet all further street. Mizrachi called it down to get shown the {k-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} by Madsen, which he had beat with the {q-Clubs}{8-Spades}{2-Hearts} for queens and sixes.

After the hand was over, Mizrachi confirmed he had not seen the completion and that got him into some trouble. While the hand unfolded, Bryce Yockey was on the same table with a severe short stack. He had previously contemplated to just get it in for a potential triple up but folded. Those last few chips then vanished shortly after on a day to forget for Yockey.
