Valdez Makes the Maximum with Flopped Straight

Nível 6 : 400/800, 800 ante

Beto Valdez raised under the gun to 1,600 and the player on his left three-bet to 5,100. The action folded back around to Valdez and he made the call.

The dealer spread a flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and Valdez check-called a bet of 5,500.

The turn was the {k-Clubs} and Valdez check-raised his opponents bet of 5,500 to 20,000. The opponent called and Valdez shoved the rest of his stack in before the river was exposed.

The {k-Hearts} landed on the river and his opponent instantly called off his remaining stack of approximately 18,000. The opponent rolled over {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} for trip kings and Valdez showed the bad news when he showed {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} for a flopped straight.
