Today, the 43 survivors of Day 1 (plus any last-minute registrants) will return to the felt for Day 2 of Event #49: $10,000 No-Limit 2-7 Single Draw Championship. Leading the pack is poker professional Sam Soverel, who managed to bag an impressive 454,500 chips in Day 1.

Others still in contention from Day 1 include Julien Martin, Daniel Negreanu, Shaun Deeb, Dan Shak, Scott Seiver, Randy Ohel, and Johnny Chan — who made his 2021 WSOP debut yesterday in this event. The 10-time bracelet winner will have his work cut out for him as he will enter Day 2 with a stack of just 21,500.

Play is set to resume at 2 p.m. local time on Level 11 (1,500/3,000 with a 4,500 big blind ante) and is scheduled to play down until five players remain. Levels will increase to 90 minutes for Day 2 and players will receive 10-minute breaks after every level. Players will also have a 60-minute dinner break at the end of level 14 (approximately 8:30 p.m.)
