Julia Busts; Lamy Doubles After

Nível 15 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

A-5 Triple Draw

Nicholas Julia was all-in for just 8,000 from under the gun and Mike Gorodinsky raised to 15,000, which Gilles Lamy called. Julia discarded three cards, Gorodinsky and Lamy two. It was Gorodinsky who bet and Lamy called, the latter of which then discarded one. Gorodinsky patted and Julia took three new cards once more.

Gorodinsky kept patting and his two opponents took one card each, which then saw Gorodinsky bet and force a fold from Lamy.

Gorodinsky rolled over the {7-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{2-} and Julia was drawing with the {6-}{5-}{3-}{2-}. He peeled what appeared to be a {9-} and headed to the rail.

Lamy then raised his short stack from the button and was called by Ben Yu. On the first draw, Yu took three whereas Lamy took one. Yu check-called and discarded two, Lamy discarded one. "You don't want this?" Lamy joked as he had 2,000 behind and then added "he is playing with his food." Yu check-called the all-in for the last two chips and both discarded one.

Yu rolled over {8-}{5-}{3-}{3-}{a-} for a pair of treys and Lamy doubled with {k-}{6-}{5-}{4-}{3-}.

Amin Eliminated by Rotholz

Nível 15 : 6,000/12,000, 0 ante

Badugi

Ahmed Amin had 30,000 in before the first drawing round and was left over with exactly 5,000, facing Hal Rotholz. Rotholz patted and bet 5,000, Amin called all-in. The remaining two draws saw Rotholz pat and Amin drew one new card both times.

Rotholz revealed the {j-Spades}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} for a Nine-Dugi and Amin had a draw to the superior hand with the {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} exposed. He made a Badugi but the {k-Hearts} was not enough to keep him in contention.

Yu Eliminates Lamy

Nível 16 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Ben Yu: {q-}{j-}{7-}{4-}{2-}
Gilles Lamy: {8-}{5-}{4-}{2-}{2-}

With all of his chips in the middle, Lamy drew one on the third and final draw while Yu stood pat. Unfortunately for Lamy, his card paired his deuce, and he was eliminated from the tournament.

With that hand Yu is at 71,000 chips.

Easy Game for Wong

Nível 16 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

2-7 Triple Draw

Fu Wong raised it up and earned a single caller in Joao Vieira out of the big blind. Vieira discarded three cards and Wong patted, which led to a bet by the latter. Vieira double-checked his cards and tossed them into the muck.

There are currently seven full-ring tables in action which means the money bubble is only a few eliminations away.

Hand for Hand Play Begins

Nível 16 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

With 39 players remaining in the tournament, the tournament director has called for all of the dealers to hold up and stop dealing so that hand for hand play can begin. The money bubble will burst at 38 players; after one more player is eliminated from the tournament.
