Holz's Comeback Fails

Fedor Holz
Fedor Holz

Blinds: 1,200/2,400

Down under 10 bigs, Fedor Holz managed one double and Ajay Chabra with {j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} against {q-}{9-}. He almost had another when he got in an outkicked top pair and turned a straight, only to be counterfeited on the river.

Finally, Holz raised to 5,040 and called all in for about 41K with {a-Spades}{7-Hearts} but was pipped by {a-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}. The board ran {j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{8-Spades}, shipping it to Chabra's two pair.

Vousden vs Chidwick
Vousden vs Chidwick

Blinds: 800/1,600

Stephen Chidwick raised to 3,520 from the button and Samuel Vousden opted to defend.

The flop came {6-Spades}{7-Spades}{8-Diamonds}, Vousden checked and Chidiwkc bet 4,647. Vousden responded with a raise to 9,294. Chidwick took some time and then decided to reraise to 34,209 which Vousden called after considering it for a bit.

The turn was the {a-Spades}, Vousden took a few seconds before betting 18,865 and Chidwick made the call.

The river completed the board with the {k-Hearts} and Vousden considered his options for a while before opting to shove with the bigger stack. Chidwick tanked and then call for the 117,374 he had behind with {9-Clubs}{5-Hearts} for the straight but Vousden held {10-Spades}{5-Spades} for the flush. Chidwick was the last player to make it through Round 2 but became the first player to bust in Round 3.

Bracelet Winner Bicknell Booted

Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

Blinds: 1,300/2,600

Kristen Bicknell got her last 20K in with {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and was in decent shape for a dub against the {k-Clubs}{5-Spades} of Ali Imsirovic. After Imsirovic hit two pair on {q-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, Bicknell started firing prayer emojis in, but no heavenly intervention saved her as it ran {2-Clubs}, {9-Hearts}.
