Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

With about 7,000 chips in the middle and the board reading {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{6-Hearts}, Peter Hernandez checked from the small blind and Anthony Zinno bet 3,000 from the button. Hernandez called.

The turn brought the {Q-Diamonds} and Hernandez checked. Zinno bet 11,500, Hernandez check-raised to 38,000, and Zinno called.

The {J-Hearts} hit the river and Hernandez bet 41,000, sending Zinno into the tank. He eventually called and Hernandez announced "flush." Zinno flipped over {A-Spades}{J-Spades}{9-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and took the substantial pot with nines full of jacks.

Parvizi From Hero to Zero

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Iraj Parvizi
Iraj Parvizi

"That's how you do it, from CL to out," Iraj Parvizi said on his way out when he spoke with James Calderaro. Both had shared a table on Day 1 the previous year, Parvizi ended up as the chip leader while Calderaro was a big stack, and both were on a roller coaster ride throughout the day. Calderaro ended up winning the event and his first WSOP bracelet.

"I had a straight, the other guy had a higher straight, then a few other hands ... I gonna have some fun in the casino now," Parvizi said before leaving the tournament area.

On Parvizi's former table, several players chipped up as a result and one of them is George Wolff. "He was even up to 650,000," Wolff added.

New additions to the field include Adam Owen, Scotty Nguyen and Daniel Negreanu, further assorted counts can be found below.

Nevanlinna Doubles Through Soverel

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante
Jussi Nevanlinna
Jussi Nevanlinna

With what looked like 11,000 chips in the middle and the board reading {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{4-Hearts}, Jussi Nevanlinna bet 11,000 from the small blind. One player had called before Sam Soverel tossed in 60,000 from the button. Nevanlinna shoved and there was one fold before Sam Soverel called to put Nevanlinna at risk.

Jussi Nevanlinna: {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Sam Soverel: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

"That's a big hand," said Soverel when he saw he was trailing Nevanlinna's set of tens. The {2-Clubs} river missed both players and Nevanlinna took the pot to double up.

Le Builds Stack

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

On the heads-up turn of {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades}{6-Clubs}, Tommy Le and his opponent invested 25,000 each before the {7-Hearts} appeared on the river. Le now only bet 12,000 and his opponent was sent into the think tank. Eventually, the fold followed and Le claimed the pot without showdown to further climb up the leaderboard.

Tom Marchese was among the latest entries while Kido Pham and Veselin Karakitukov bumped up their stacks, too.

Goindoo Loses Two in a Row

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

On the tail end of a bigger pot between Ryan Goindoo and Jussi Nevanlinna, the latter bet the river of a board {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{J-Spades}{3-Hearts} for 20,000 after Nevanlinna had checked to him. Goindoo's bet was for 20,000 and Nevanlinna eventually called to hear his opponent announce one pair. Goindoo rolled over the {A-Clubs}{10-Spades}{8-Spades}{5-Clubs} for a missed straight draw and Nevanlinna claimed the pot with the {A-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

One hand later, Nevanlinna raised to 2,500 and Goindo called, as did David Len Ashby. All three players checked the {Q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and the {3-Hearts} turn. On the {3-Clubs} river, Nevanlinna bet 7,000 and Goindoo called. Ashby raised to 29,000 and that forced out the Finn, while Goindoo verified the amount with the dealer and called half a minute later.

Ashby turned over {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds} for trips treys and that won the pot.

Abdellatif Calls Kenney's Bluff

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

There were about 22,000 chips in the middle and the {Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop was out when we got to the table. Jonathan Abdellatif was in the small blind and heads-up against Bryn Kenney, who was on the button. Abdellatif bet 6,200 and Kenney called.

The {2-Clubs} hit the turn and Abdellatif checked. Kenney bet 13,500 and Abdellatif called.

The river brought the {6-Diamonds} and Abdellatif checked. Kenney bet again, 32,000 this time, and after spending over a minute in the tank, Abdellatif called. Kenney tabled {K-Spades}{J-Spades}{J-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Abdellatif flipped over {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} to take the pot with queens up.

Parvizi Near The Top

Nível 7 : 600/1,200, 0 ante

Not long ago, Iraj Parvizi had a smile on his face and said: "Oh, I just got it and will probably be the chip leader soon."

Thus far, Parvizi has kept that promise as his stack skyrocketed to almost half a million.

Edward Hatzakortzian was among those to bust before the break, according to Fraser MacIntyre he had most of his stack in preflop with aces and called it off on the flop against Joao Simao. The latter had flopped trips with {K-}{K-}{Q-}{X-} and Hatzakortzian found no help.

Ben Lamb was also sent to the rail and has since re-entered.
