Ramdin Still on a Big Stack

After an early hiccup in the first two levels of the day, Victor Ramdin never looked back and consistently built a stack. Right now Ramdin sits on some 26,000 after a split pot against Stephanie Livingston.

Ramdin had for a low and two pair on the board of , while Livingston had for the superior two pair to scoop the high portion of the pot.

Mike Sexton, seated in the very same section, was reduced to just over half of the starting stack and Jason Rivkin was also moved to a table nearby.

The Last Level to Register

With level eight in full swing, the tournament screens show a total of 902 entries and that is very close to the attendance of last year when a field of 905 entries emerged. Back in 2016, there were even 934 entries and Benny Glaser claimed the bracelet back then. Glaser also has a decent stack in level eight while the field slowly but surely shrinks with half of the tables in the Amazon Orange section remaining.

Players have until the end of the current level and following break to join the action.

Kassela's Big Stack; Chait's Comeback; Freedman Doubles; Elezra Below Starting Stack

"Did you really just call a ridiculous river bet with the ace-ten?" Frank Kassela joked over to Craig Chait and the latter nodded, having scooped the pot with a pair and a busted nut flush draw after his had flopped middle pair. His opponent was going for the spades, too, but bricked off with .

The next hand brought even more fireworks. "Can I get a new table please?" a short-stacked Wendy Freedman asked with a smile on her face. That was before a three-way flop came . Chait bet in the hijack, the cutoff called and Freedman raised. Chait made it four bets and both opponents called. On the turn, Chait bet and the cutoff called, Freedman raised and picked up two calls. The river completed the board and Chait bet once more, the cutoff called. Freedman called all in for her last 500 chips and the cards were turned over.

Freedman showed for a nine-high straight and a low. Chait had for the same straight while the cutoff flashed for a worse straight. Freedman got three-quarters of the pot and doubled while Chait claimed the side pot.

"Can you write that I have below starting stack?" Eli Elezra inquired, and Kassela asked whether or not he was among the chip leaders. The counts of all are now up to date as a result, Chait had been down to a mere 1,100 chips not long ago and now has more than ten times that.

Turner Builds Stack

William Todd raised from early position and was called by Jon Turner and big stack Joseph Brodsky in the small blind. The flop fell and Brodsky checked. Todd bet and had half a bet behind, Turner checked his stack and raised, Brodsky called and Todd called all in. After the turn, it was Turner that bet and the Brodsky check-called.

The river was checked and Todd showed . Turner had for a low and Brodsky showed for the better two pair to eliminate Todd.

One hand later, Turner's raise was called three ways and Turner was one of two players to check-call a bet by Brodsky on the button on a flop of . Turner then remained the only player to check-call on the turn and river to get shown for a low and busted flush draw. Turner had the for the same low and a pair to scoop three quarters.

Since Turner is in the seat that formerly belonged to Sorel Mizzi, it confirms the elimination of the latter.

On a flop, Marsha Shutt bet, Matt Waxman made it two bets, a third player folded and Shutt called. The rolled off on the turn and Shutt reclaimed initiative by leading out. Waxman called and called a bet on the river as well.

Waxman's was the only qualifying low hand as Shutt revealed , but Shutt's two pair would nab the high side and the two chopped it up.

Mizrachi Powers Through

Robert Mizrachi has been moved to a table that also includes Mike Leah and Ryan Laplante and was just spotted with a three-bet on the button against Jose Rao's open raise in the cutoff. The big blind called and so did Razo. On the flop the action checked to Mizrachi and he bet, both opponents called.

The very same action repeated on the turn and the river paired the board. Once again two checks triggered a bet by Mizrachi and this time he claimed the pot without further resistance, as two folds followed.
