Eric Rodawig: / /
David Benyamine: / /
Tony Cousineau: / (folded on sixth street)
There was some confusion on third street as Tony Cousineau complained about a card flipping up before the action continued after that. David Benyamine bet fourth street after a check by Eric Rodawig, with Cousineau and Rodawig coming along. Fifth street was checked through and Rodawig bet sixth, resulting in a call by Benyamine and a fold from Cousineau.
Rodawig bet again on seventh street and was called, announcing "just a pair of aces" before showing his . That was still enough to win the pot, as Benyamine sent his cards into the muck. At almost the same time, Brandon Shack-Harris was eliminated on a different table.
In the last hand of Omaha Hi-Lo Eight or better, Mike Sexton raised from early position and was three-bet by Ian Johns on the button, Sexton called. On the flop, Sexton checked and called a bet of Johns before doing so again on the turn. The river paired the board and Sexton checked once more.
Johns bet the third street in a row and that eventually forced a fold from Sexton. "Ian, did you have a flush?" Max Kruse asked, but received no answer whatsoever.
Ashish Gupta just used the Limit Hold'em round to build some momentum by winning three hands in a row. In one of the hands, the action was opened from early position and Gupta three-bet from the small blind, which was called. The flop came down , and his bet was enough to win the pot after his opponent folded and Gupta turned over .
The Australian then took down the next two pots without much resistance to chip up to 60,000
David Chiu was the bring in and Michael Sigel raised, then bet through all further streets to be all in after sixth street for his last 3,300. Chiu called and showed the , he needed a four for the straight to eliminate Sigel and said "good luck Mike".
However, Sigel with his for two pair immediately spiked the on seventh to improve to a full house and ensure the split pot. This made Chiu's meaningless, he took the low pot.
Another player at immediate risk is Allen Kessler, who has been reduced to very few big bets, while George Wolff has been eliminated with Richard Ashby now in his spot.
Kyle Miaso: /
Carol Fuchs: / (folded on fifth street)
There was quite some table talk that included Frank Kassela and Carol Fuchs and Kyle Miaso jumped in on the action as soon as the duo was finished. Miaso completed with a trey showing and Fuchs called with a king. Fuchs called one more bet on fourth but then folded fifth.
One hand later, Kassela completed with an eight and folded on fourth when he picked up a king, Phillip Wallace had a showing and scooped the pot with the words "guess I have been playing too tight."
Kassela sits well above the average in the sixth level of the day, while other big stacks include Anthony Zinno and Daniel Negreanu.
Christopher Vitch has just won two pots on the river after putting the pressure on his opponents.
In the first hand, he called a raise from Eric Kurtzman while in the big blind and saw a flop of , before his check-raise was called and the turn was revealed to be the . Kurtzman called Vitch's bet, but when the river came the , Vitch's pressure worked as he got his opponent to fold with a bet.
And it was to be a similar situation just a couple of hands later. Vitch raised from the button and was three-bet by George Alexander. Vitch made the call and stuck around on the flop to see the turn. Alexander continued, Vitche called and the former checked on the river. Vitch decided to put Alexander to the test with a bet and after a minutes thought, the latter folded.
Chris Tryba raised and picked up two callers out of the blinds in Viacheslav Zhukov and Suketu Patel. On the flop, Zhukov bet and Patel called, Tryba raised and was called both ways. On the turn, action checked to Tryba and his bet was called before the on the river was checked through.
Zhukov showed the , Patel had that beat with for a pair of kings and a low, and Tryba showed the for the nut low to claim half of the pot.
