Hands #75-#80: Hellmuth Strings Together Some Wins

Nível 19 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Hand #75: Steven Zhou limped from the small blind, Phil Hellmuth checked his option from the big, and the two watched the flop come down {j-Spades}{a-Spades}{8-Spades}. Zhou bet 8,000, Hellmuth called, and then both players checked the {10-Diamonds} turn. When the {9-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Zhou checked and then folded when Hellmuth bet 12,000.

Hand #76: Michael Tran raised to 14,000 under the gun and won the pot.

Hand #77: Zhou raised to 12,000 from the cutoff, Hellmuth called from the button, and Tran came along from the big to make it three-way action to the {10-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} flop. Two checks saw Hellmuth bet 10,000, only Tran called, and the {3-Spades} appeared on the turn. Tran checked and then folded when Hellmuth bet 25,000.

Hand #78: Alex Antonios raised the button and Zhou called from the big. Zhou then check-folded to a bet of 12,000 on the {2-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop.

Hand #79: Antonios raised to 13,000 under the gun and Hellmuth called from the big blind. Both players checked the {9-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{j-Spades} flop as well as the {10-Diamonds} turn, and then Hellmuth bet 10,000 on the {7-Spades} river. Antonios called but mucked when Hellmuth tabled the {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} for a straight.

Hand #80: Tran raised to 13,000 under the gun, Antonios called from the big blind, and the two checked the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{q-Spades} flop and {J-Clubs} turn. When the {4-Clubs} completed the board on the river, Antonios bet 18,000 and Tran called. Antonios tabled the {k-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and it was good as Tran sent his cards to the muck.

Hands #70-74: Phil Hellmuth All In Again

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Hand #70: Alexander Antonios raised preflop and got one caller on Steven Zhou. On the {Q-Hearts} {6-Spades} {8-Clubs} flop, Antonios continued for 13,500 and Zhou called before the {3-Diamonds} on the turn got checked through. Zhou bet the {2-Diamonds} river for 20,000 and Antonios folded.

Hand #71: Antonios raised to 11,500 and Phil Hellmuth called out of the big blind to see the {3-Spades} {7-Clubs} {9-Clubs} flop. The "Poker Brat" check-folded to a bet of 6,500.

Hand #72: Hellmuth limped from the small blind and Antonios checked. Both checked the {A-Diamonds} {A-Clubs} {8-Spades} flop and Hellmuth then asked what the minimum bet was before making it 5,000 on the {5-Hearts} turn. Antonios mucked his cards.

Hand #73: Zhou raised to 12,000 and found one caller in Michael Tran out of the big blind. Tran check-called 15,000 on the {A-Clubs} {4-Clubs} {A-Hearts} flop and no action followed after the {3-Hearts} turn. The {3-Diamonds} turn saw Tran check-raise from 15,000 to 35,000 and before the amount was even announced, Zhou had announced call. Tran showed {A-Spades} {5-Clubs} for the full house and that won the pot.

Hand #74: Hellmuth made it 12,000 to go and Tran in the small blind as well as Zhou in the big blind called. Only Zhou check-called 8,000 by Hellmuth on the {2-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {A-Hearts} flop. The 13 time bracelet winner then moved all in after the {8-Clubs} turn and Zhou quickly check-folded.

Yu Kurita Eliminated in 5th Place (AU$27,624)

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante
Yu Kurita - 5th Place
Yu Kurita - 5th Place

Hand #69: Phil Hellmuth raised to 11,000 from the cutoff only to have Michael Tran three-bet to 50,000 from the small blind. Tran seemed focused on Hellmuth's small stack, but he turned his attention to his left when Yu Kurita four-bet jammed from the big blind for 115,500 more.

"I don't think I can fold," Tran said after Hellmuth had gotten out of the way. Tran then dropped in a call.

Tran: {a-Clubs}{k-Spades}
Kurita: {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

It was a flip, and Kurita was looking to hold to double. The {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop gave Tran the lead with a pair of aces, but all hope was not lost as Kurita flopped a flush draw. The {K-Hearts} turn improved Tran to two pair, but it also have Kurita an added Broadway draw. Unfortunately for her, she missed all her outs when the {A-Spades} appeared on the river, a card that actually improved Tran to a full house.

Hand #64: Alex Antonios raised to 13,500 from the button and won the blinds and antes.

Hand #65: Antonios raised to 11,500 from the cutoff and won the pot.

Hand #66: Antonios raised to 11,500 from under the gun and won the pot.

Hand #67: Steven Zhou raised to 12,000 from the button, Antonios called from the big blind, and the flop fell {10-Spades}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Antonios checked and then folded when Zhou bet 13,000.

Hand #68: Antonios raised to 12,500 from the small blind and Tran called from the big to see a flop of {8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. Hands #58-62: Quick Action

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Hand #58: Phil Hellmuth raised to 11,000 and that won the pot.

Hand #59: Alexander Antonios raised to 12,000 from the button and won the blinds and antes.

Both then checked the {5-Diamonds} on the turn and the {J-Hearts} on the river. Kurita's {8-Spades} {7-Spades} was only second best to the {Q-Hearts} {10-Hearts} of Antonios.

Hand #62: Zhou raised to 12,000 and all opponents behind him folded.

Hands #53-57: Hellmuth Gets It All In

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Hand #53: Yu Kurita opened for 11,000 under the gun, Phil Hellmuth called from the button, and Michael Tran called from the big to make it three-way action to the {2-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds} flop. Two checks saw Hellmuth bet 8,000, Tran called, and Kurita got out of the way.

Both players then checked the {3-Hearts} turn as well as the {10-Spades} river.

"Pair of fours," Hellmuth said.

"Unlucky," Tran offered and then tabled his {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts} for a rivered pair of tens. A distraught Hellmuth put both his hands to his head in disbelief.

Hand #54: Alexander Antonios raised to 11,500 from the button and won the pot.

Hand #55: Antonios raised to 11,500 from the hijack, Tran called from the button, and it was heads-up action to the {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Spades} flop. Antonios continued for 13,500, Tran called, and the dealer burned and turned the {3-Clubs}. Antonios checked, Tran bet 22,000, and Antonios check-raised to 83,000. Tran folded.

Hand #56: Steven Zhou raised to 12,500 from the small blind only to have Hellmuth three-bet to 22,000 from the big blind. Zhou moved all in and Hellmuth, who only had 12,000 behind, called off.

Hellmuth: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Zhou: {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}

Hellmuth woke up with aces at just the right time, and he scored the double after the board ran out a dry {10-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{3-Clubs}.

Hand #57: Zhou raised to 10,000 from the button and won the pot.

Hands #48-52: Tran Leaves Hellmuth Short

Nível 18 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Hand #48: Steven Zhou limped from the cutoff and then folded when Phil Hellmuth made it 18,000 to go.

Hand #49: Alexander Antonios raised to 13,500 from the button and took down the blinds and antes.

Hand #50: Antonios made it 11,500 from the cutoff and nobody was interested to invest any chips.

Hand #51: Zhou raised to 12,500 from the small blind and Hellmuth defended his big blind to the {J-Spades} {4-Diamonds} {2-Spades} flop. Both players checked and Zhou bet 11,000 on the {Q-Clubs} turn. Hellmuth raised to 40,000 and that shut down all further action.

Hand #52: Michael Tran raised to 11,500 and Hellmuth squeezed it to 32,000 out of the small blind. Tran looked at the stack of the "Poker Brat" and Hellmuth then told him he had about 150,000 in chips. "That would be a nice addition to my stack," Tran said. Further small talk followed and then Tran said "Now you talked me into a call" before putting in the extra chips.

On the {Q-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds} flop Hellmuth quickly bet 35,000 and Tran called after some consideration. After the {6-Clubs} turn, Hellmuth made it 47,000 and Tran slid forward a stack of yellow T-5,000 chips for a raise. Hellmuth immediately jumped out of his chair in disguise and the floor double checked that it would be indeed a legit min-raise. Hellmuth ended up mucking his cards and wasn't too happy about it
