Koon Spikes Pair on River

Nível 22 : 20,000/40,000, 40,000 ante

Jason Koon completed with {8-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Justin Bonomo checked his options with {K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}.

The {5-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} flop gave both players a draw and Koon bet 60,000, earning a call.

The {Q-Spades} didn't hit anyone and Koon kept blasting, firing 240,000. Bonomo wasn't going anywhere and called.

The {8-Hearts} hit Koon and he checked his pair, changing his plan, trying to get to the showdown. Bonomo allowed that with a knuckle back and Koon increased his stack.

What's All This Talk About the All Time Money List?

Nível 21 : 20,000/40,000, 30,000 ante

Poker's all time money list is always as interesting discussion among poker players and the poker media. And when events such as the Super High Roller Bowl carry with it a $300,000 buy-in, the rankings are always going to have big changes.

Starting at the top, Daniel Negreanu has been first on the all time money list for some time now; and amazingly he has never had a single individual year where he has finished first overall. Regardless of any result at the Super High Roller Bowl final table, Negreanu will remain on top. However, he can pad the gap he has over Erik Seidel ($34,507,095), while most importantly, he can become the first player to eclipse the $40 million in total live earnings mark with a victory.

Justin Bonomo is having a career year. No doubt about it. So far Bonomo has earned just shy of $9 million in 2018 with five victories; one in the Super High Roller Bowl in Macau in March. Already guaranteed 4th place money of $1.6 million, Bonomo is assured of jumping over Antonio Esfandiari ($27,628,047), and can jump into 3rd overall with a 3rd or better result.

For Jason Koon, he is currently log-jammed with fellow Americans in the latter teens range, and a win in the Super High Roller Bowl will see him soar up to 12th place overall and jump over Phil Hellmuth ($22,303,355). Mikita Badziakouski might be seen as a relative newcomer, but he has results stretching back to 2010. However, Badziakouski's major results have come in the last few years where roughly $9 million of his $9.2 million in earnings have occurred. A Super High Roller Bowl win will see him climb to 33rd place on the all time money list, while a 4th place finish will see him climb to 58th place.

Daniel Negreanu
Daniel Negreanu

Mikita Badziakouski opened to 80,000 on the button and Daniel Negreanu made it 450,000 in the small blind with {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Badziakouski peeled with {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

The flop came {7-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Badziakouski called a small bet of 250,000. Negreanu checked the {8-Diamonds} and then called 375,000. On the {9-Diamonds} river, Negreanu checked again. Badziakouski announced 1.4 million and Negreanu quickly cut out calling chips. He looked at Badziakouski and then slammed them in, winning the biggest pot of the day.

Players headed for break.

Bonomo Goes for Extra Value

Nível 21 : 20,000/40,000, 30,000 ante

Cutoff, Jason Koon opened {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} to 75,000 and Justin Bonomo flatted {A-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} in position.

Koon skipped the cbet on the {K-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{5-Spades} flop, underrepping his holdings. It worked through the first part as Bonomo fired 70,000 and Koon called with the better hand.

The dealer, however, wasn't on the same page with Koon and rolled over the {A-Spades}, pushing Bonomo ahead. The turn was checked through, though.

Koon fired a tiny 100,000-chip bet on the {8-Diamonds} river and Bonomo burned a timebank to consolidate his plan. He eventually tossed in 350,000 for a thin value-raise, puzzling Koon who also needed some extra time to make a good fold.

Everyone Hits the Flop

Nível 21 : 20,000/40,000, 30,000 ante

Jason Koon opened for 90,000 with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs} on the button and Justin Bonomo called with {k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} in the small blind. Mikita Badziakouski tossed in some chips with {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts} in the big

They saw a {k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{8-Spades} flop, which gave a little something to everyone. Action checked to Koon and he bet 150,000. Bonomo raised to 450,000, Badziakouski snap-folded and Koon called. The turn brought a {2-Clubs} and Bonomo shoved for Koon's remaining 1.2 million to win the pot.

Koon Calls Down with Ace-High

Nível 21 : 20,000/40,000, 30,000 ante

Jason Koon peeled {A-Hearts}{K-Spades} and raised to 90,000, earning a call from small blind Mikita Badziakouski who had {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}.

Koon continued on the {9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} flop, betting 75,000. Badziakouski fired back with a check-raise, making it 275,000 total with his overs and a gutshot. Koon called.

Badziakouski elected to lead small with a 225,000-bet when the {3-Spades} hit the felt. Koon stuck around, calling.

The {10-Spades} river wasn't a great card for Badziakouski to finish his bluff and he checked. Koon quickly checked back to see he made right decisions throughout the hand, adding some chips for his hard work.
