PokerStars WCOOP-33-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller] Starts at 7:05 PM CEST

2020 WCOOP
2020 WCOOP

Day 1 of the PokerStars WCOOP-33-H: $5,200 NLHE [8-Max, High Roller] is slated to start at 7:05 p.m. CEST to give players another shot at that treasured WCOOP title. The tournament has a $750,000 guaranteed prize pool set today but as this is a reentry tournament, that prize pool could easily be surpassed.

2020 repeat winners Adrian "Amadi_017" Mateos and Yuri "theNERDguy" Dzivielevski are almost certain to be back in the running today to try and make it three but many more poker stars are expected to jump into day's battlefield. Dimitar "KuuL" Danchev, Dante "dantegoyaF" Goya, Preben "prebz" Stokkan, Ludovic "ludovi333" Geilich, and Andras "probirs" Nemeth are just some of this year's WCOOP winners who might be back to try and do what Mateos and Dzivielevski have already done.

Players will get 250,000 in chips when they first enter the tournament with the first level of the day featuring a small blind of 1,200, a big blind of 2,400, and a running ante of 300. The late registration and reentry period will remain open for the first five hours and five minutes of play while Day 1 will end after seven hours and 45 minutes. Players can reenter up to a maximum of two times if things go awry during their first attempts in building up a stack.

The level duration will remain at 20 minutes with five minutes added at a certain point on Day 2. A 5-minute break will take place every hour at 55 minutes past each hour. As it's an 8-max tournament, the final table on Day 2 will be nine-handed with 90 additional seconds added to the time bank for the players who reach it.

PokerNews will be here from the first beep until the tournament goes on break for Day 2, so stick around for all the live updates.
