Tsugunari Toma opened on the button and Liv Boeree defended her big blind. On the flop, Boeree check-called a bet from her Japanese opponent. The turn was the and Boeree check-called another bet, this time 8,600.
With the PokerStars live cameras swooping in to capture the action, Boeree checked a third time on the river. Toma bet 16,500 and Boeree took her time. Eventually, she called it off, but had to muck as she couldn't beat Toma's .

Christoph Vogelsang raised to 3,600 from the cutoff and Jack Salter called on the button on a table full of big names. The flop came and Vogelsang bet 2,800, Salter raised to 10,600 and was called. After the turn both players checked and Vogelsang's bet of 16,000 on the river went through uncalled. While the hand was going on for several minutes, Charlie Carrel, Preben Stokkan and Peter Eichhardt were discussing on how the shot clock in High Roller tournaments could be improved.
One table over, the turn showed and Maria Ho bet 6,700 out of the big blind. The pot was around 15,000 and Patrik Tkac then moved in for 27,700 on the button. Ho gave it plenty of thought and elected to fold.

Jean Paul Zaffran raised from under the gun and picked up calls by Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier in the cutoff and Christopher George on the button. The trio checked the flop and the turn. On the river, Zaffran bet 3,500 and ElkY called, as did George.
Zaffran tabled and ElkY mucked, while George claimed the pot with .

Jack Salter was first to act and limped under the gun. Igor Kurganov over limped from late position, the small blind completed and big blind Christoph Vogelsang checked his option.
All four of them checked on so the on the turn was seen for free. Action checked to Kurganov and he bet 5,500. The small blind folded, Vogelsang called, Salter folded.
Heads up to the river and Vogelsang checked again. Kurganov pushed for 22,800 and action was on Vogelsang. The German high-roller took a fair amount of time before he eventually called.
"Straight!" Kurganov shouted.
But since it wasn't pineapple and there was no 2-card straight possible, Kurganov quickly admitted he had nothing. Kurganov showed and Vogelsang tabled for the winner.
Salter was sure not to let the bottom-pair call go unnoticed, while Kurganov got up and conversed a bit with Vogelsang about the hand. The Team Pro is out, Vogelsang up to over 160,000.

Ole Schemion's table, the farthest in the room, just broke down. The German wunderkind got moved to a cosy spot between Fatima Moreira de Melo and Dan Smith. With Celina Lin and Faraz Jaka at the same table, the PokerStars live crew will no doubt have their sights set on Table 22.
Schemion hadn't even unracked all his chips yet or he was already playing his first hand. He called a raise from Jerome L'Hostis, but folded to a river bet on .
