In two hours from now as of 12 p.m. noon local time, the high stakes regulars will be back in action to determine yet another champion among their peers. Day 1 of the 2018 partypoker LIVE MILLIONS Germany €50,000 Super High Roller is scheduled to kick off at lunch time and many of the familiar faces of the previous days are expected to join the action today.
Patrik Antonius defeated partypoker ambassador Joao Simao in heads-up to claim the first €25,000 Super High Roller for €425,000 and the second edition of this event ended with a three-way deal including Johannes Becker, Stefan Schillhabel and Niall Farrell. Simao made back-to-back final tables after finishing fourth while fellow partypoker ambassador Patrick Leonard came 5th and will be aiming for more today.
A large contingent of German High Rollers is also expected such as Steffen Sontheimer, Dominik Nitsche, Koray Aldemir and Manig Loeser. Leon Tsoukernik himself will take on the young guns and Paul Newey, as well as Adrian Mateos, already confirmed to take part, too.
The registration for the most expensive event of the festival at the King's Casino in Rozvadov remains open for the first nine levels of 40 minutes each and at least 12 levels are scheduled for the first of two days. A single re-entry is available to all those that run out of chips during the registration period eventually.

Europe's biggest poker arena is gearing up for the main highlight of the festival as of February 14th, 2018, with the €5,300 Main Event that features a stunning guaranteed prize pool of €5,000,000. Johannes Becker raised to 25,000 and Patrick Leonard called from the button. Jean-Noel Thorel three-bet to 125,000 out of the small blind and Becker moved all in for 189,000 in total. Leonard folded and Thorel called the additional few chips.

The board was already complete with more than 700,000 in the middle and Dominik Nitsche moved all in on the river. Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier called for his last 290,000 and Nitsche announced an ace, then rolled over . Grospellier was going to muck his cards, but as it was an all in showdown the cards of the Frenchman were turned over, it were for an inferior full house.
The vacant seat was filled swiftly with Markus Durnegger on his second bullet and Nitsche continued to bulldoze through the table in the next hand. Nitsche's raise to 40,000 was met with a three-bet by Manig Loeser for 200,000 and a jam of Nitsche followed to force a fold.

Soon after, Daniel Pidun and his brother Thomer were eliminated in quick succession and Sam Trickett ran out of chips, while Adrian Mateos re-entered on his second bullet.
Thomer Pidun raised to 45,000 from the cutoff and called a three-bet by Chi Zhang in the small blind for 118,000 in total. The flop fell and Zhang continued for 100,000, Pidun called. On the turn, Zhang made it 155,000 to go and Pidun tossed in a call. After the river, Zhang checked and called the shove of Pidun for 612,000.
Pidun rolled over for a full house and Zhang had that beat with for the superior full house. Zhang then took on Orpen Kisacikoglu right after, raising to 50,000 on the button and receiving a call. Kisacikoglu ended up paying off a bet of Zhang for 140,000 on the river and mucked when the Brit flashed for a pair of kings.
A quick glance to the next table revealed Daniel Pidun all in for around 340,000 with the and Antonello Capobianco called with the . The bord came and Pidun's nines were cracked.
Bartlomiej Machon entered in the last possible level while Dominik Nitsche will gave to fire a second bullet in order to take a shot at the juicy prize pool. The remaining 16 hopefuls will redraw to the last two tables momentarily.
