After finishing in fifth place yesterday, Steve O'Dwyer has taken a seat again in this tournament. Bertrand Grospellier has also joined him at the same table. On the next table over, Thomer Pidun has decided to take another shot at taking a high roller down. His brother Daniel Pidun is still standing on the rail but might soon decide to join too.
Christian Christner raised to 25,000 first to act and was called by Niall Farrell on the button and Dietrich Fast in the big blind. There was no betting action on the flop while Fast and Christner were the only ones to invest 50,000 on the turn. After the river, Fast checked and Christner bet 120,000. Fast quickly check-raised to 350,000 and Christner moved all in to force a fold.
After only twenty minutes into the first level of the day, Timothy Adams has already claimed his first victim. Orpen Kisacikoglu had raised from the under-the-gun position, and Adams called on the button. So did Jean-Noel Thorel in the small blind.
The flop came , Thorel check-folded to the bet of Kisacikoglu and Adams had called.
The turn brought the and Adams called the continuation bet of Kisacikoglu.
The river completed the board with the , now Kisacikoglu bet 270,000. Adams considered all his options and then decided to shove. Kisacikoglu sat up straight, looked at the board again and then put a stack of his chips in as a call. Adams tabled for the flush and, with defeat showing in his whole body, Kisacikoglu flipped around his hole cards showing for the flopped set of fives.
The dealer counted Adams' stack and with 843,000, it was confirmed that Adams had Kisacikoglu covered. Kisacikoglu has been sent to the rail but he might be back if he decides to reenter.
Felipe Ramos raised to 25,000 on the button and Johannes Becker called in the big blind. The flop of brought a check from Becker and a continuation bet of Ramos. Becker check-raised to 80,000 and Ramos clicked it back up to 231,000 in order to force a fold.
Manig Loeser's raise to 25,000 in the hijack found one caller in Dietrich Fast from the cutoff. The duo checked the flop and Loeser also checked the turn. Fast made it 55,000 to go and folded once Loeser check-raised to 185,000.
Julian Thomas raised to 25,000 and Orpen Kisacikoglu called out of the big blind. On a flop of , Kisacikoglu checked and called a bet of 18,000 by Thomas before the duo checked through the turn. Kisacikoglu's bet of 75,000 on the river won the pot uncontested.
While the hand was going on, Chi Zhang took a seat between the duo while Christoph Vogelsang entered the competition one table over.
In the first hand of the day, Christian Christner completed the small blind and Niall Farrell opted to check his big blind.
The flop came , Christner bet 10,000 and Farrell called.
They both checked the on the turn to the on the river. Christner now decided to bet 40,000 and after having taken a few seconds to think about it, Farrell called. Christner tabled but the of Farrell took the first pot with the rivered pair of tens.

All levels last 30 minutes each until a final table is set, from there on out the level duration will increase to 40 minutes each and heads-up play will feature levels of 20 minutes. There is a high probability that the players may decide amongst themselves to continue playing until a winner has been crowned instead of keeping it a two-day tournament.
Registration is open for nine levels and players can re-enter once during that period. For the €25,000 buy-in, the players will receive 1,000,000 in chips which equals 100 big blinds during the first two levels of play today.
