In The Waiting Line With The Main Event Finalists

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

There was a moment before the start of play during which the players were required to wait in a line to the side of the stage. On the set the final preparations were being made so the players stood patiently, waiting for someone to tell them what to do, a line of superheroes waiting for their curtain call, as the PokerStars Blog reports.

Hands #4-6: Nine Minute Hand with Kings for Killeen

Nível 26 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Hand #4: Sebastian Pauli raised to 80,000 from the hijack with {J-Spades}{10-Clubs} and found a call from Kevin MacPhee in the big blind with {A-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The flop came down {3-Clubs}{J-Clubs}{2-Hearts} and MacPhee checked. Pauli continued out for 90,000 and MacPhee stuck around.

The {2-Diamonds} hit the felt on fourth street and MacPhee knocked the table once more. Pauli reached for chips, moving 160,000 past the betting line. MacPhee let it go and Pauli pulled the pot.

Hand #5: Kevin Killeen was under the gun and looked down at {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}. He cut out a raise to 85,000 it folded around to Jake Cody on the button. Cody peered at his cards, revealing {A-Spades}{Q-Clubs}. Cody flatted the raise and Artur Koren came along from the big blind with {Q-Spades}{j-Spades}.

The dealer fanned a flop of {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades} and Koren checked over to Killeen. The Irishman checked as well, putting the action on Cody. Cody fired out a bet of 160,000. Koren came along with a call and Killeen flatted as well.

The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Koren checked for a second time. Killeen followed suit and Cody tapped the table in reply. The {Q-Diamonds} hit the river, pairing both Koren and Cody's queen but keeping Killeen's kings ahead.

Koren checked the river, prompting Killeen to bet 380,000. Cody went into the tank for about two minutes, sitting motionless and pondering his action. Ultimately, he opted to throw his cards away. This put the action onto Koren who went into the tank as well. After almost four and a half minutes in the tank, Koren pushed calling chips forward.

Killeen tabled his pocket kings and took down a pot that boosted his stack to about 3.2 million.

Hand #6: Jakub Mroczek raised under the gun plus two to 80,000 with {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} and Kevin MacPhee called on the button with {A-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Kevin Killeen called in the big blind with {k-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the flop brought out {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}.

Killeen checked to Mroczek who bet 80,000 and MacPhee called from the button. Killeen folded his cards and the turn brought the {7-Spades} on which Mroczek fired out 105,000. MacPhee put in another call with ace-high and the river was the {3-Clubs}. Mroczek looked back down at his cards and he bet 175,000. MacPhee went into the tank facing this small bet in relation to the size of the pot before ultimately letting go of his hand.
