The action folded around to Jerome L'Hostis on the button, and he moved all in. The two players in the blinds were the short stacks of Jan Dentler and Roger Taieb. Dentler folded but Taieb called for his last ten big blinds, and the hands were turned on their backs.

Taieb was in good shape to secure a double up with L'Hostis having only one over card. But that card hit on the flop when the queen of diamonds was revealed. Frenchman Taieb was unable to get back into the lead as the board completed and was the first player to be eliminated from the final table in 9th place for €53,410.

Three Times Martini

Julien Martini is the chipleader and raised three hands in a row from early position. In the first hand, he opened to 750,000, Mariano Leandro Hyon three-bet to 3,000,000 and Martini folded after some thought. The hand after, he opened to 900,000 and everyone folded.

Martini raised again to 900,000 in the next hand, this time from under the gun. Jan Teunis three-bet to 2,500,000 to his direct left and Martini snap-folded.

Ah Line Cold Four-Bets and Shows Kings

Jerome L'Hostis raised to 725,000 from early position and saw Claudio Di Giacomo three-bet to 2.1m from middle positon. Alberto Ah Line was in the next seat and playing from the hijack when he went into the tank. After a couple of minutes thought he cold four-bet to 5.5m. The action back around to L'Hostis who quickly folded before Di Giacomo again needed time to think.

Di Giacomo contemplated his next move for around 90 seconds before he announced fold and showed the ace of spades. Ah Line, in turn, flipped over pocket kings for the table to see before he stacked the pot.
