No Seven from Heaven for Japan's Yoshimichi

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Ariel Celestino opened for 4,500 from early position only to have Makoto Yoshimichi three-bet all in for 32,200 from the hijack. Pierre Neuville called from the cutoff, Celestino folded, and it was off to the races.

Yoshimichi: {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}
Neuville: {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}

Yoshimichi got it in good, but that didn't matter as the {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{5-Spades} flop paired Neuville. The {4-Hearts} turn meant Yoshimichi needed a "seven from heaven," but it wasn't in the cards as the {J-Clubs} blanked on the river.

Petrangelo Hits His Flush

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Bulent Uzun under the gun and Nick Petrangelo in the big blind got their chips in before the flop. Petrangelo with the {A-Hearts}{Q-Hearts} had some catching up to as Uzun tabled {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs}. The flop came about as good as they could come for Petrangelo with {Q-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{6-Hearts}. The {10-Hearts} on the turn ended matters for Uzun, despite the fact he had just hit his straight. The {4-Diamonds} on the river was a blank and Uzun left the stage.

"That's What You Get For Being a Nit!" Petrangelo laughed, referring to himself; "You suck out!"

Carrel Bluffs All In

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Matias Ruzzi checked and called 18,000 from Charlie Carrel on a {6-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop. Rutzzi check-called 30,000 on the {k-Diamonds} turn, though this time he took a couple of minutes of thought to do so. He checked a final time on the {6-Clubs}, and Carrel said he was all in. That got a snap-fold, and Carrel showed {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

Haxton Turns a Straight to Double Up Through Cheng

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Isaac Haxton defended his big blind from Cheng's open, and Altergott's call on the button and saw a flop of {2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Haxton checked and Cheng bet out 8,000, and both other players called.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and Haxton, after thinking for a short moment, moved all-in for his last 25 big blinds. Cheng called, whilst Altergott folded.

Haxton: {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Cheng: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}

Haxton had turned a straight and Cheng was drawing dead. The dealer dealt the inconsequential card and Haxton doubled up to over 100,000.

Urbanovich More Than Doubles While Kvame Falls

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Norway's Oddbjorn Kvame shoved all in for his last 12,000 of so from the button and Dzmitry Urbanovich moved all in over the top from the small blind for right around 60,000. Randal Flowers, who was in the big blind, made the call to put both players at risk.

Urbanovich: {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Flowers: {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}
Kvame: {8-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Flowers was ahead, but not after the flop came down {3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{a-Spades}. Neither the {3-Spades} turn nor {K-Clubs} river changed a thing, and Urbanovich won the pot with aces and threes while Kvame hit the rail.

Schemion Busts His Buddy

Nível 13 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Ole Schemion
Ole Schemion

Ole Schemion has chipped up nicely here on Day 2 and is one of the biggest stacks in the room. Schemion is currently located at the feature table, so our access to the wunderkind is limited.

That said, we do know he just busted his good friend Igor Kurganov. We missed the action, but we do know that Kurganov held the {a-Hearts}{3-Hearts} on a board reading {5-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{2-Spades}. Unfortunately for him, his wheel was no good as Schemion held the {4-Hearts}{4-Spades} for a full house.
