Zinno Zapped

Nível 10 : 4,000/8,000, 1,000 ante
Anthony Zinno
Anthony Zinno

"All in and a call!" we heard. As we arrived, Zinno was already getting up from the table to head for the exit. Scott Seiver told us the details after the hand was finished.

Max Altergott opened and Thomas Muehloecker made the call from the cutoff. Anthony Zinno in the big blind squeezed and Altergott folded. Muehloecker made the call.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Zinno, who had started the hand with about 500,000 in chips, moved all in. Muehloecker made the call holding {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}. Zinno had {2-Spades}{6-Clubs} and was looking for a five, but it wouldn't come; {2-Diamonds} on the turn, {A-Spades} on the river.

Team PokerStars Pro George Danzer is the reigning World Series of Poker Player of the Year, but he had never played a Super High Roller event before. The German pro's still going strong on Day 2, and we asked him some questions about his first time in many other things.

Colman Busts Peters

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante

Right before the break, David Peters lost his last hand of the tournament. Daniel Colman first doubled through Peters.

Colman shoved for his last 44,000 from the cutoff ({A-Spades}{5-Spades}) and Peters ({K-Spades}{4-Spades}) called from the big blind. The board ran out {7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{7-Hearts}{10-Hearts} and Colman doubled.

Colman pushed two times more and both got through without picking up any callers.

In one of the last hands before the break, Peters shoved his last 29,000 from middle position. Daniel Colman on the button announced all in as well, and both blinds folded. Peters had {A-Spades}{9-Spades}, Colman tabled {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}. The board ran out {5-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{6-Spades}{8-Clubs}. It paired up Peters, but the pot went to Colman with his rivered straight.

Tsoukernik Falls to Sammartino

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Leon Tsoukernik
Leon Tsoukernik

We didn't see the action before all the chips went in, but the pot was already quite large when the action really heated up. With {3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} on the table, both Sammartino and Tsoukernik got all of their chips in for a pot worth well over a million chips.

Leon Tsoukernik: {8-Spades}{9-Spades}
Dario Sammartino: {K-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The {Q-Spades} on the turn and {Q-Hearts} on the river were blanks, and Tsoukernik left the tournament area with a disappointed face. Fortunately for him, he got at least one of his bullets from beating Dan Cates.

Back-to-Back Hands Send Former EPT Grand Final Champ to the Rail

Nível 11 : 5,000/10,000, 1,000 ante
Mohsin Charania
Mohsin Charania

Connor Drinan raised to 22,000 from the hijack and was met by a three-bet to 62,000 from Mohsin Charania in the cutoff. Action folded back to Drinan, who four-bet all in for 381,000, and Charania made the call.

Drinan: {a-Diamonds}{a-Spades}
Charania: {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}

It was a cooler for Charania, and he sent all but 57,000 of his chips over to Drinan after the board ran out {j-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

In the very next hand, Charania got those chips in holding the {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and was primed to double against the {a-Spades}{q-Hearts} of Quan Zhou. Unfortunately for Charania, the {7-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} flop delivered Zhou an ace. Neither the {5-Diamonds} turn nor {2-Spades} river helped Charania, and he made a beeline for the exit.
