The 2022 Wynn Summer Classic continues at Wynn Las Vegas and Day 1c of the $3,500 No-Limit Hold'em Championship will begin at noon local time.

The third and final starting flight will be the last opportunity for players to bag a stack in an attempt to grab a piece of the $3,500,000 guaranteed prize pool.

Like the first two flights, unlimited reentry is permitted until the start of Level 10. Players will begin the tournament with 40,000 in chips and blinds will begin at 100/100/100. Levels today will be 40 minutes each, and players will play 15 levels.

Those who bag a stack today will join the 102 returning players out of the 672 total entrants so far from the first two flights. Day 2 will play ten 60-minute levels on Monday, June 27, and Day 3 will play 60-minute levels on Tuesday, June 28, until a winner is declared.

Austrian high roller Thomas Muehloecker bagged the Day 1a chip lead with 1,127,000, German player Daniel Smiljkovic bagged the Day 1b chip lead with 819,000, and only time will tell who will bag the Day 1c chip lead.

Stay tuned as the PokerNews live reporting team continues to provide coverage of the 2022 Wynn Summer Classic $3,500 NLH Championship until a champion is crowned.

Elias Folds to Six-Bet

Nível 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Darren Elias
Darren Elias

The details of this hand were related to PokerNews by a player at the table.

Darren Elias opened to 600 on the button and was three-bet by Joe Schulman out of the small blind. The big blind then four-bet to 3,500 and Elias responded by five-betting to 8,000. In a scene reminiscent of the poker boom, Schulman six-bet to 23,600 and the big blind folded.

Elias seemed utterly perplexed by the crazy amount of action and, after thinking for several minutes, made what one can only assume was a big laydown.

Three-Way Flush Draw Makes For Big Pot

Nível 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
David Stamm
David Stamm

A player in early position opened to 800 and received calls from Hossein Ensan in late position, Raj Ramakrishnan from the cutoff and David Stamm on the button as well as both blinds.

Action checked to the early position player on a flop of {10-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and he continued for 2,000. Ensan folded while Ramakrishnan called. Stamm then shoved for around 13,000, which got the blinds to fold. The early position player then re-jammed with the larger stack and Ramakrishnan called off for his tournament life.

David Stamm: {9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}
Raj Ramakrishnan: {k-Clubs}{2-Clubs}
Early Position Player: {6-Clubs}{5-Clubs}

In a wildly improbable turn of events, all three players had flopped flush draws, with Ramakrishnan holding the best draw while Stamm had the opportunity to make a straight flush as well as being ahead with a pair of eights. The early position player, meanwhile, had an open ended straight draw, which was effectively his only hope of winning the pot.

With all three players blocking each other's draws, it was little surprise that no further clubs found their way onto the felt on the {q-Diamonds} turn or {q-Hearts} river. Remarkably, Stamm got a full triple-up with queens and eights while Ramakrishnan scooped a significant sidepot with king high, leaving the early position player short.

Petkov On the Right End of Cooler

Nível 5 : 300/500, 500 ante
Lachezar Petkov
Lachezar Petkov

Some details of this hand were related to PokerNews by the table. Mark Zajdner opened in late position and Lachezar Petkov three-bet jammed out of the big blind. Zajdner made the call with the bigger stack to put his opponent at risk.

Lachezar Petkov: {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}
Mark Zajdner: {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

Zajdner had been hit by a cruelly cold deck but could still come from behind. That outcome became far less likely after the {9-Spades}{3-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop with the {j-Clubs} turn and {7-Hearts} river completing a clean runout for Petkov.

Cheong Finds Help to Bust Hallaert

Nível 7 : 400/800, 800 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Kenny Hallaert had gotten his stack of approximately 28,000 in from the small blind and was at risk against Joseph Cheong in middle position.

Kenny Hallaert: {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}
Joseph Cheong: {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}

Hallaert was in great shape until the dealer fanned the {j-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Clubs} flop. The {7-Clubs} turn left him needing an ace, but the {7-Spades} river bricked out to send the pot to Cheong.

McKeehen Rivers Wheel

Joe McKeehen
Joe McKeehen

A player opened to 2,200 in the cutoff, Joe McKeehen three-bet to 8,000 in the small blind, and the cutoff called.

The dealer spread the {k-Hearts}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, McKeehen led for 4,500, and the cutoff called.

McKeehen led for 7,000 on the {3-Clubs} turn and was again called. The {4-Diamonds} completed the board, McKeehen moved all in for around 25,000, and the cutoff called.

McKeehen tabled {a-Spades}{2-Spades}, much to the dismay of his opponent, and scooped the pot with his wheel.

Ensan Ousts Hutter and Stamm

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Hossein Ensan
Hossein Ensan

Just before the blinds went up, David Stamm in the cutoff and Barry Hutter in the big blind were both at risk against Hossein Ensan in middle position.

David Stamm: {a-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Barry Hutter: {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}
Hossein Ensan: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

The {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{6-Spades} flop gave unlikely chop outs for the two at-risk players if the case six were to come, but the {8-Spades} and {4-Diamonds} completed the board to secure the pot for Ensan, while Hutter and Stamm made their exits from the table.

Cheong Gone

Nível 9 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Joseph Cheong
Joseph Cheong

Picking up the action on the turn, Joseph Cheong on the button was involved in a pot with a player in middle position. With the board reading {7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Clubs} action was checked to Cheong, who moved all in. His opponent went into the tank before eventually making the call with the bigger stack to put Cheong at risk.

Joseph Cheong: {10-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}
Middle Position Player: {9-Spades}{8-Spades}

Cheong was behind his opponent's top pair but did have a gutshot alongside a pair and flush draw. The {4-Spades} river bricked out, however, sending Cheong packing just prior to the dinner break.

Mateos Sends Lichtenberger Packing

Nível 10 : 1,000/1,500, 1,500 ante
Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

On a flop of {2-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} Andrew Lichtenberger in middle position was involved in a hand with Adrian Mateos on the button. Lichtenberger checked to Mateos, who led out for 4,000. After verifying how much his opponent had in front of him, Lichtenberger moved all in. Mateos snapped it off with the larger stack to put Lichtenberger at risk.

Andrew Lichtenberger: {a-Hearts}{2-Hearts}
Adrian Mateos: {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}

Mateos was way ahead with his overpair and remained so after the {k-Hearts} turn. The {9-Spades} river failed to improve LuckyChewy and Lichtenberger was forced to the rail with no option to re-enter.
