$3,500 NLH Championship

Dia 1a Começado

Welcome to the 2022 Wynn Summer Classic $3,500 NLH Championship

Wynn Summer Classic
Wynn Summer Classic

The 2022 Wynn Summer Classic continues at Wynn Las Vegas and Day 1a of the $3,500 NLH Championship will begin shortly at noon local time.

During last year’s Wynn Summer Classic, the $3,500 NLH event had a million-dollar guarantee and was won by Chance Kornuth. This year, it’s the premier tournament of the series and features a massive $3,500,000 guarantee.

There are three starting flights and unlimited reentry is permitted per starting flight. Registration and reentries for each starting flight will be available until the start of level 10. Players will begin the tournament with 40,000 in chips and blinds will begin at 100/100/100. Levels are 40 minutes each on Day 1 and will increase to 60 minutes each on Day 2 and Day 3.

Day 1a will play 15 levels or until approximately 11% of the field remains. All other starting flights will play the same amount of time as Day 1a. Day 2 plays ten 60-minute levels on Monday, June 27, and Day 3 plays 60-minute levels on Tuesday, June 28 until a winner is declared.

This championship event of the 2022 Wynn Summer Classic series features the largest guarantee, although more tournaments are on the agenda through July 20. Less than a week ago, Manuel Machado won the $2,200 Wynn Mystery Bounty event for $410,485 plus bounties, and there are several more anticipated tournaments in the series featuring large guarantees.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be bringing updates throughout the entire Wynn Summer Classic $3,500 NLH Championship event, so stay tuned for the action coming up soon.

Picking up the action on a board of {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts} Ezequiel Waigel in the small blind was involved in a hand with Frank Bonacci on the button. Waigel led out for 3,100 and Bonacci made the call.

The {10-Clubs} river did not slow Waigel down, who fired off another bet, this time sizing up to 8,500. After some consideration Bonacci made the call and was shown {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts} by Waigel for a full house, sevens full of kings, a hand Bonacci could not beat. Waigel, fresh off a deep run in WSOP Event #46: $5,000 6-Handed No-Limit Hold'em, is off to another good start.

Paull Takes Early Pot

Nível 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

John Paull opened to 300 on the button, Carlos Benavides flatted in the small blind, and Jeff Platt raised to 1,600 in the big blind. Both opponents called.

The dealer spread the {k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} flop, Benavides checked, and Platt bet 1,500. Paull and Benavides called.

The {6-Hearts} fell on the turn and action checked to Paull who bet 5,100. Benavides continued and Platt folded.

The {9-Spades} completed the board and Benavides check-folded to a bet of 16,000, conceding the early pot to Paull.

Senic Shoves River

Nível 1 : 100/100, 100 ante

With roughly 8,000 in the pot on a {q-Spades}{q-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Spades} completed board, Ezequiel Waigel had 13,000 over the betting line on the button and was facing an all in for 34,400 by Andrej Senic in the big blind.

Waigel thought about it but let go of his hand to concede the pot without a showdown.

"Show a ten of hearts," a player at the table urged Senic, but his cards went into the muck face down as he collected the pot.

Weng Wins Big One Early

Nível 2 : 100/200, 200 ante
Bin Weng
Bin Weng

A player opened to 400 from early position and was called by Bin Weng in middle position as well as a player in the cutoff. Action folded to the big blind, who defended to send the players four-way to the flop.

The big blind checked on a flop of {10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts} to the preflop raiser, who continued for 1,000. Weng and the big blind made the call while the cutoff player folded.

The {7-Clubs} saw the player in the big blind check for a second time and the early position raiser fire off another bet of 2,500. Weng again called and the big blind responded with a raise to 6,600. The early position player released her holding but Weng, far from discouraged, reraised to 15,000. The big blind went into the tank before eventually tossing their cards forcefully into the muck to send a large pot Weng's way early during the day's play.
