Chopping a Pot the Hard Way

Nível 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Arsenii Karmatckii
Arsenii Karmatckii

Stephan Nussrallah limped from under the gun and Arsenii Karmatckii raised to 450,000 from the button. The blinds got out of the way and Nussrallah responded by three-betting to 1,125,000. After some time Karmatckii announced all in and Nussrallah snap called.

Aresnii Karmatckii: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}
Stephan Nussrallah: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}

Karmatckii found himself on the right end of a brutal cooler, that is until the flop came {k-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, pulling Nussrallah out in front. That all changed on the {a-Clubs} turn, which propelled Karmatckii into an almost unassailable lead. The deck was not done toying with the players' emotions just yet. The {10-Diamonds} rolled off on the river to put broadway on the board and chop up the pot, bringing a wild hand to a somewhat tame conclusion.

Lorenzo Lavis Eliminated in 13th Place ($53,313)

Nível 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Lorenzo Lavis
Lorenzo Lavis

Lorenzo Lavis moved all in for his last 625,000 from the cutoff and was called by Albert Nguyen out of the big blind.

Lorenzo Lavis: {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Albert Nguyen: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Lavis was marginally ahead but fell far behind on the {4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} flop. The {k-Diamonds} turn left him drawing to just three outs and he was unable to find one of them on the {8-Hearts} river, forcing him out of the tournament in 13th place.

Albert Nguyen
Albert Nguyen

Albert Nguyen moved all in for 1,100,000 from early position and was called by Diego Sanchez in the cutoff. The remaining players got out of the way and Nguyen was officially at risk.

Albert Nguyen: {k-Hearts}{q-Clubs}
Diego Sanchez: {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Nguyen was behind but did have two live cards. He immediately leaped into the lead after the {6-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop and held on the {6-Clubs} turn and {9-Diamonds} river to secure the double.

Mandavia Doubles Through Romero

Nível 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Ankush Mandavia
Ankush Mandavia

Ankush Mandavia ended up getting his 4,075,000 chips in from the button and was at risk against James Romero in the big blind.

Ankush Mandavia: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
James Romero: {j-Spades}{j-Hearts}

The two were flipping, and the {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop put Mandavia well ahead. The {a-Diamonds} turn left him just needing to fade a river jack, and the {2-Clubs} completed the board to secure Mandavia's double.

Ivan Deyra Eliminated in 14th Place ($46,159)

Nível 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Ivan Deyra
Ivan Deyra

On a {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{a-Hearts} board, Ivan Deyra bet 675,000 in early position and Daniel Smiljkovic called in the cutoff.

The {5-Clubs} completed the board and Deyra bet 1,375,000. Smiljkovic then moved all in, covering Deyra's stack of approximately 575,000 behind. Deyra took some time before ultimately putting in the rest of his chips.

"I coolered you," said Smiljkovic as he tabled his {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flopped boat.

Deyra's {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} went into the muck and he made his way to the payout desk in 14th place for $46,159.

Nicolas Noguera Eliminated in 15th Place ($46,159)

Nível 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Nicolas Noguera
Nicolas Noguera

Picking up the action after the flop, Nicolas Noguera in the big blind, who for the past couple of hours has taken tanking to a whole new level, was involved in a three-way pot with Arsenii Karmatckii from early position and Yuki Kashihara in the cutoff. With the board reading {4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} action was checked to Kashihara, who led out for 275,000. Noguera responded by raising almost all in, leaving himself just a few chips behind. Karmatckii then announced all in, eliciting a quick fold from Kashihara and a snap call from Noguera.

Nicolas Noguera: {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}
Arsenii Karmatckii: {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}

Noguera was in awful shape but did pick up some chop outs on the {a-Spades} turn. He could find no further help, however, on the board pairing {2-Hearts} river, sending him to the rail in 15th place.

Kashihara Doubles Through Mandavia

Nível 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Yuki Kashihara
Yuki Kashihara

Before the blinds went up, Yuki Kashihara opened to 200,000 from early position, Ankush Mandavia three-bet to 750,000 in the small blind, and Kashihara moved all in for 1,550,000. Mandavia called.

Yuki Kashihara: {a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}
Ankush Mandavia: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}

Kashihara found himself on the right side of a cooler, and he locked up the double on the turn as the dealer ran out the {8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board.

Terence Reid Eliminated in 16th Place ($40,068)

Nível 29 : 75,000/125,000, 125,000 ante
Terence Reid
Terence Reid

Before the blinds went up, Diego Sanchez opened to 200,000 from early position and was called by Daniel Smiljkovic on the button. Terence Reid moved all in from the small blind and Sanchez made the call while Smiljkovic folded.

Terence Reid: {a-Spades}{k-Clubs}
Diego Sanchez: {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}

Reid was on the wrong end of a horrific cooler, being about as crushed as one can be preflop. The {k-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop did give him a faint glimmer of hope but it came to nothing after the {q-Diamonds} turn and {j-Spades} river failed to change anything. Reid collects $40,068 for his efforts.

Reid Finds a Double

Terence Reid
Terence Reid

Terence Reid put most of his chips into the middle from the cutoff, leaving himself just 50,000 behind. Albert Nguyen raised enough to force Reid all in from the small blind and Reid called to put himself at risk.

Terence Reid: {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}
Albert Nguyen: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

Reid was flipping for his tournament life but pulled way out in front on the {j-Clubs}{10-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop. The {q-Hearts} turn changed little, with Reid needing to dodge aces and the last queen in the deck. He did just that on the {9-Hearts} river, earning himself a full double up.
